This is one of the first time I have seen an HBCU get creative with its ticket options.
I would like to see us follow suit ....

Sounds kind of late...when was he hired? .....Wonder if he has new corporate $$$ flowing to Grambling. That would really seperate him from AD's at HBCU's.

Thrilla, Man I wish that we could provide BB tickets online like football. Right now it seems that a casual fan has to call to get tickets just be be "as safe as possible" before big game such as Winston. ( And get there early) For some reason we turned people away with "reserved tkts in hand" last year. I believe I remember that some fans came from Maryland. We lost a lot of support that night. Boy I hope that we have improved...

Hey, I just found this announcement buried on the ncataggies.com site: PICK 3!! GET 1 FREE!! PURCHASE TICKETS FOR ANY THREE MONDAY BASKETBALL GAMES FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON AND GET THE FOURTH MONDAY GAME FOR FREE.
FANS HAVE UNTIL JAN. 19 TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS PROMOTION................................... That is all the information about this promotion I have been able to gather. Sounds like a nice idea, but I don't know how many people they expect to even know about this before the Jan. 19 deadline. I hope they plan to market this promotion in other ways.

Where have you been? They've been plastering it all over TV for the last two weeks on the AM, 5,6, and 11 pm news breaks, You need to stop watching all that Nickelodeon with the little guy and and look at some real TV from time to time. LOL

Maybe if Ms. Cook would do to the right thing and give Thrilla a freaking interview before the season ends, he wouldn't have to sneak up on it. Diehard fans would understand at least the key points of the marketing plan.

Hey, I just found this announcement buried on the ncataggies.com site: Why do you say "buried" if it's right there on the homepage?

Because it is a single paragraph on the far righthand column and I overlooked it twice today when I first went on the site. No vivid images, nothing that really stands out. It needs to be a full length banner jpg in the center or at the top of the home page or maybe even a separate splash page when you first visit the site, like this: www.nba.com/rockets/tickets/Splash_011209_MLK_Day-296342-1664.htmlThat's how you really get the word out and make sure no one can overlook what you are trying to promote.

Splash page is the way to go. Even the MEACSports.com has a splash page. IF, let me say that again, IF you keep it fresh and up to date it's great for promotion info. The very first time the info is dated, you've lost credibility.

When there's not a special event going on just have a generate one, promoting season tickets or something.
That way, it never has to be outdated.
