South View’s Calvin signs with N.C. A&T By Earl Vaughan Jr. Scholastic sports editor ADVERTISEMENT South View’s Amber Calvin has signed a national letter-of-intent to play basketball for North Carolina A&T. The announcement was made Thursday by South View girls’ baksetball coach Brent Barker. Calvin will play her first official high school game in a year tonight when South View takes the court for its season opener with Seventy-First. A senior, Calvin missed all of last season recovering from a knee injury. Prior to her injury, Calvin led South View to the state 4-A girls championship in her sophomore season. Following the injury, some of the more prominent schools that had shown an interest in Calvin backed off recruiting her. That was part of the reason she elected to go with A&T, according to Barker. “She felt really comfortable with their coaching staff,” he said. “She got to know them pretty well, and all through the year she missed, they really stuck with her and she liked that.” click here for the rest of the story... www.fayobserver.com/article?id=310329Coach Bibb's is no JOKE!!!!!!

If this is who I think it is, this will make the Lady Aggies the premiere team of the MEAC for the next 3 years and may possibly help win a post season game or two in the "big" tournament.
