Nice pick up but we got plenty guards..... we need 2-3 top notch post players to be able to complete outside the MEAC! the 6-4+ center type has eluded us & it's not because the coaches haven't been trying... we lost a post to pitt & this signing period we lost a post to georgetown... when i mean lost.. i mean it came down to us & the school the kid chose... OK, no harm intended, but we do need some post players to become a mid-major elite program. Maybe we need to expand our recruiting areas for the post players... there's got to be some young ladies being overlooked somewhere not located in the carolinas, pennsylvania, virginia or the dc area .

scooter the 6-4+ post player who transfered from memphis to sc state would've been a great addition to what we have now... after we played them last yr. when the players were shaking hands... i could see it in bibbs eyes when their hands met... she was saying... " why didn't you call us first"...
i don't know if there is a shortage of true post players... but just guessing... i think our coaches have been focusing on getting quality players as a whole... with hopes of landing a "big"....
what i mean is that we may have several guards or forwards on the list to go after with hopes of signing one... we probably need a list of "bigs" to go after with hopes of signing 1 or 2...
but having said that... the carolina tarheels had 4 quality "bigs" on their roster last yr... that sounds like those schools are going to stockpile quality "bigs" if they can... the rich always seem to get richer...!!!!!!
there have been some quality "bigs" in this area... dudley has had a couple... there has been a few in the winston salem area...
the breland kid for the tarheels... heck her hs coach is an alum of a&t... but we had no shot at her... so far the "bigs" we haven't been able to land have been from the northeastern part of the country...

And for Bibbs to be in the final choice for some of these kids is an accomplishment in itself. Most of you probably have no idea what a small-school coach has to go through to recruit on that level. So, getting a quality big isn't as easy on the lady's side. Can you imagine Eaves being able to sign a legit 6'10" center? Exactly, you couldn't imagine it in a million years (for more reasons that one, lol), so it would be more realistic to ease up on this expectation.

We're not talking about super stars - just some height (6' 3") and above who can box out, rebound, and run the floor. Hampton, Morgan and Coppin have been able to find these young ladies.

Again, we did look REALLY small even against Winthrop.
