They do test at my job, and no I am not under any 504 provisions or etc., but all I am trying to say is what realty is, if we have the $$$, I agree with everyone else, I am no fan of any coach, I enjoyed small;s first year but after the playoff game we look like the same old MEAC rep, I assume this was not a smack thread, I am trying to position my comments from a realty standpoint based on CT information and what information I have received at Aggie Club meetings, I am apparently in the dark, if any fool agrees with losing, I am not him, again if you have someone let me know I will get on any band wagon I can if it gets us off the losing streak AND ESTABLISHED SOME FOUNDATION FOR OUR FUTURE, all futures need to include winning but students are first. I think if you look at our most successful year from a w/l standpoint you will find a couple of games whereas one or two plays made the difference, so look at this season and I see a similarity, my point being as follows:
wssu- we would have made it close but wssu did truly ball this year PV- block punts NCCU - pic-sixes after completing 13 straight but again, I guess our poor coach should have known not to call these plays Howard, MSU, BCU, FAMU, if you understand the game and my comments about a couple of plays- need no comment
Now we have 7 games that we had a chance as opposed to none last year and some of theses teams did play the upper tier teams in the conference respectable, so if he went from 0-11 to say 4-7, or 7-4 do we have this thread at all, that is all I am saying, again my support is for the student, if the MEAC or HBCU will be viable changes will occur, we are a historically black school but not forever black, (not that race is the issue but change is, and this losing is a helluva change) it is clear that $$ is at the root of this issue either paying too much for nothing or having nothing but wanting something, I didn't attend the SEC,ACC schools so I am not in position to compare any of their activities to ours, maybe we be like FAMU they recently sh$%^t can everyone but keep a bona fide cheater in the hissie for a decade, (it reminds me of my teen years when you came on the block with someone with a new car- an assumption was did you steal it, but the reply could be -can you prove it) so if that what make people buy season tickets and fills the seat lets do it, again I will get on any band wagon, I am just commenting on what appear will happen, my point being if he maintains academic integrity and covers some positives I will buy my season ticket, pay my Aggie club dues, and I want to give to BDF, this is a good way for me to stay out of the dark and not accused of illegal activities. Still waiting on the list and $$ to fund it, keep me out of the dark and I don't think I can do time that well, finally if you wish to fire the man he no doubt deserves it so I am not auguring whether or not, just what our options are available ( the option being someone that can do 500 ball and maintain student academic- if Fobbs does so this year remember my support is gone, if not), fobbs undercover thing kinda catch-ey, maybe I can change my name for a smack board but not here, peace going to pick up my kid from T maybe I will tell the coach the board said watup

HBCU administrators and alumni seem to never see things as they really are. First, we want to win championships without providing the support needed to accomplish the job. The only HBCU to get it done was FAMU in 1978 and they came close again in 2000 because of a coach with a innovative mind. So out of almost 30 years these two are the only examples of getting this far with a lot less in infrastructure support than the other teams. You look at the support of the teams that have made it to the semi-finals and championship games and you would be very happy with your HBCU accomplishments against the odds like winning the conference every four years.
Secondly, we can't accept mediocrity but we will accept incompetence. Example, A&T fire coaches who are 4-7 or 3-8 but keep a coach who is 0-22 and who has a habit of calling his junior class laden team a young team after the last game of the season. This is a team that will have 31 seniors next year. What happens or what excuse will people have when Fobbs wins 1 or 2 games next year with this many seniors?

Fobbs just doesn't need to be a head coach. I would have no problem with him in another capacity but he has less coaching acumen than his predecessor. He's not cut out for making decisions to drive the football team.
If he's a good disciplinarian and keeps the quality kids in school (the ones his predessor sought, I might add) then he should move to some time of role in academia. Throughout his coaching career he was never tasked with running a program or even moving above a position coach. He never had the experience one needs to run a football program and he is clearly a slow learner when it comes to running a program. It's not in his best interest or ours for him to continue on in that capacity. Yet he and many of us, for whatever reason, refuse to admit it.

You can even call it Asst. Athletic Director for ... to make it sound better if you want since you would still pay him.

Vite, even if your list of "positives" all worked in our favor, without a great Coach none of it matters. There is no way that we should have lost to Howard, Morgan, FAMU or BCC. The deciding factor on all of those games was not the inability of those young men to play but the ability of the Coach to spur them on to victory with strong direction. Games that close, which Howard wasn't until the last 5 minutes of the game, aren't lost because the players aren't playing. After having been at A&T from '89-'93, the glory years, these last two seasons have been unbearable. How much longer must we endure?!?

Still waiting on the selection and the $$$, BTW, I wonder how much can I endure, I actually couldn't go to the NCCU game ( I am a season ticket holder), simply because I couldn't witness a close game because of the implication it would show for the rest of the season, a lost definitely had another o-fer written all over it, so, I don't know how much longer I can stand for this, someone please, show me how to pay for this, good suggestion to keep some presence of Fobbs in our programs, good comments on whether he should be a head coach, maybe it brings me to a comment made from one of my clients: the lady quoted - You know I had bad credit when you made me the mortgage loan- during a collection call, my point being the man has never serve as head coach but we as a school felt his commitment to academics and no Douggie, this is our best shot, so now it is clear that the lack of head coaching experience is catching up with us, I appreciate the consideration given to my comments, I am willing to support any reasonable angle we need to attack this, so I feel the board need to outline some choices to either shore up our situation or how we will move in a different direction. I am not sure what a Chancellor from a school without any major sports only BB, it is clear in major college that football is the alumni thing and BB is for the students, so considering Coppin never set the world on fire with attendance with their success in BB, we will need to get people in the seats and need wins to do it, so I believe Fobbs was allow to miss his turkey day to recruit base on his comment, it doesn't appear at this point he was told as Small to stay home , we have a meeting, wish everyone Happy t-day, we have set a precedent by almost going winless in BB, we have completed the do-wap in football, so lets see where we go

Supporting a 0-22 football couch is like supporting a spouse that abuses you. Same mentaility.
Wake up.

No doubt, but my roots - Creole uncle, he quote a blues song that stated if- "if you going to walk on my love, at least take off your shoes", hopefully you understand that I have yet to see anyone come to the program trying to improve academics, he has to go if nothing major happens next season, I think a lot of thread speaking about alumni accepting the status quote, not all mean that people accept losing but maybe express some level of desperation to have a major college FCS program, again maybe dreaming, but I thought we would never have lights at our stadium, so we have that and then some, might I add it is not that shabby, so why not utilized our academics and sort after some of our young men and give them a chance at life not just football, once again, my support is FOR MY SCHOOL AND STANDING BY THE TOUGH DECISIONS THAT HAVE TO BE MADE, WHETHER HE GOES OR STAYS, there is no time machine to click to bring Bill Hayes back, I have my own thoughts on him most very positive, but head coach vs Fobbs he kick his a!@#$, so remember I support my school, thats it, but remember the song quote, if the N&R statement is true, we need a thread going, to decide what we as alumni plan to do COLLECTIVELY, to support the school's decision what ever it may be, last I check we do have a secret society with deep pockets that can do like UNC, the coach basically answers a phone call from a school (looking for a head coach) and gets more than the whopping salary we paying for our losing streak, we hope all of the great players are getting a chance at life, lets face its actually their money that is being used, so if the abusive wife gets on roll, probably go the designer option for the shoes

Apathy and low expectations are a mutha! When did excelling in the classroom and on the football field become mutually exclusive events?

Nobody supports 0-22. Would I rather be 22-0. Yes, but we are not. No matter, I support my school and I support Coach Fobbs. Why? because we gave him a 4 or 5 year deal. Was it a mistake? Maybe, but we gave him the deal. Can he do the job? The jury is still out on that. In his first year, he went 0-11 with an outmanned and undermanned squad. We lacked the necessary quantity and quality of players to compete. We were out of every game by halftime. This year we went 0-11. We were in most games at the half and had the opportunity to win 4 or 5. We improved both the quantity and the quality of players. Some games we lost as a result of poor coaching--- some we lost as a result of poor execution by the players. The key, however, is that we improved in both the execution by the players and the coaching. Next year we should field a winner. Is that enough for you? It is for me because our athletes are improving on the field and in the classroom. In the end, I am more concerned that these young men become winners in life than winners on the field. Yes, I want to win and I would prefer to do both. If I have to choose, I would choose the former rather than the latter in every instance. We gave Fobbs a four year deal. Nobody would suggest that it was realistic to turn around a failing program in less than 4 years. We should honor that deal unless it is clear that he cannot do the job. From the evidence that has been presented to me so far, I am not convinced that he cannot do the job particularly if he is given the resources to compete with MEAC foes on equal footing, i.e. a quarterback coach, a special teams coach, an offensive coordinator, an increase in the recruiting budget and enough money to keep kids on campus for summer school. Unless someone magically comes up with $330,000 to buy out Fobb's contract, I say let's give him the shot that we promised him in the contract.

You seriously expect Fobbs to post a winning record next season when he still hasn't won a single game yet? Perhaps you expect every other team to stand pat? What about Fobbs promises to the school? My bad.........he didn't make any other than not to spend his $165 in one place. Finally, how do you know it takes $330,000 to buy out his contract and how much do you figure we'll miss in unsold ticket revenue?

The kids will be better and the coaches will be better. It's called experience. I don't know what the figure would be. I know that if he were my client, I would start with $330,000 that he would be due just to sit on his butt when the negotiations began. yes, I would factor in the lost ticket revenue. I would also factor in that we have had three coaches in five years and the instability that would result if we fired the coach. e.g., we fires Small's and could not field enough players to have a spring scrimmage. Result, we were 0-11 and playing freshmen against men.
