Damn, Aggiefest was the joint! It was the bomb before Freaknik until someone fired off a shot and killed my Aggiefest.

If they beefed up security around campus that weekend and made people show a state-issued ID upon entering the main party venues (similar to what a local radio station 102 Jamz did for their Birthday Bash concert), Aggiefest could go off without a hitch.

Must be the best kept secret then. I haven't heard anyone mention Aggiefest since the early 90s.

I like that Maxwell.... Winterfest..... there could be a Winterfest pagent to crown Miss Winterfest (with the crown comes some scholarship money or something).... get SGA involved!
The main obsticle would be to make sure the MEAC Commish. kept these dates open so we could have it each yr. without a hitch...
Other than that Aggiemarketingman take the ball and..... rrrrruuuunnnn....!!!!!
Damn..... if we had an indoor track it could really be a full slate of events for the true sports fans!!!! As much money as A&T contributes to the city why couldn't they put one of those bubble dome structures on campus to house an indoor track!!!!

Hell, we could have a Ms. BDF entry in the Winterfest pagent where our "queen" would receive a $500 scholarship.

Damn..... if we had an indoor track it could really be a full slate of events for the true sports fans!!!! As much money as A&T contributes to the city why couldn't they put one of those bubble dome structures on campus to house an indoor track!!!! I remember we talked about an indoor facility on this board a few years ago. That was when they were trying the get rid of the turf from the soccer fields near the old Carolina Circle Mall used to be. We said you could put it where the band practices now behind the Fitness and Wellness Center. It could triple as Band Practice facility, Football practice, and indoor track. The problem was that it would cost $2 million on the cheap and had no apparent means to pay for itself. Here's an idea:Use a similar concept as the privatized housing. The trick is not the government, but a private entity that A&T could partner with to build a dual use facility at which A&T would have priority use of. All other times it could be open to the public as a multi-use indoor recreational facilty. The business group could probably do a lot of creative financing to fund it and even qualify for federal funds because of where it's built and the socio-economic impact within the neighborhoods surrounding A&T. A&T would pay the entity a yearly usage fee and everybody wins.
