Your school paper has photos of UNC-CH in it. I bet articles on NCA&T appear in their paper as well......no wonder your ex players and at least one Hall of fame member comes to your TV games with UNC-CH PARAPHERNALIA ON ...Why not have more on the MEAC or NCCU and WSSU ?..Preview the upcoming game, talk about that baaaaaaaaad dud Pilgram that just burned you up....Great article on Keith, he works hard on getting the gold on display....but other than the dog pound your students are not in it...at Youngstown state all you saw was red...Aggies are too cool for such support in gold

Dude, Alcorn State has about 10 people coming to your games. You would probably sell a kindey just to have an home court atmosphere like ours.
I do agree with the UNC observation though. Leave those kind of articles on the cutting room floor.

That was a commentary on the week in college basketball and Carolina was in it.
We are making an effort to cover everything A&T (I actually need to send Thrilla the second sports page). On the second page there were 3 A&T sports stories and a Super Bowl preview.
In making a good sports page you have to cover your news without ignoring major national news and I feel like we are getting towards that point.
Either way your look at it, its ten times better than last year where we just grabbed stories off the wire to fill space and had 1 Aggie related story, we had 6 sports stories and NO WIRE material, plus the Aggie Rundown, thats a good week to me.
Thanks for all the feedback though, I'm taking it all down and slowly but surely making The A&T Register award winning again

There seems to be a lot of buzz throughout different parts of the country about the A&T vs Hampton game. The feedback is that this game was the most exciting game of the night for ESPN, even though the game was on ESPNU.
And 'Big Ups' to the dogpound that was highlighted during the ESPNU broadcast. No wonder A&T was scheduled for ESPNU broadcast three times this season with all the games at home in Corbett. If A&T can win more games this year and the beginning of next year don't be surprise you will see A&T on ESPN2 for a game next season.

Come on Thrilla, that is not the point. Somewhere on this board there was/is concern that you can not get enough gold in the stands..why the fans are too cool. as one guy said " he did not look good in gold..."At Youngstown all you saw was red, at Boise state all you see is that loud blue, I thought that was the type of environment you are trying to create. But if it only about beating Alcorn , you are right, NCA&T IS Miles ahead. Alcorn is a school that has had its athletic day and will never be more than average again. However, they have won NCAA and NIT games, beat the #1 basketball school in their state, had 4 players drafted in the NFL first round..... Olympic gold medal winner . ... came through the MEAC and beat the 2 best teams at the time by a combined score in excess of 45 points on their homecourts....but you are right they do not draw fans now....

Dude I see plenty of gold all around the arena, upper and lower level: Once again, you are spending your energy worrying about the wrong school. We don't have a problem with fan support or atmopshere at Corbett. You might, but we don't.

I guess that I would like to see a sea of gold upstairs and down. I am sure Keith would as well. But if you are satisfied...so be it....Thrilla , you can not asume that all people ( me) in this case graduated from a given school because of the board name. I am a Black College fan and Alcorn State is my SWAC school of choice..A&T is my MEAC school..since I see more MEAC basketball than SWAC , I will comment on A&T...I give $$$$ just like you , I buy tickets ...I support the program, so to say I worry about the wrong school seems a bit un necessay to say the least...I do respect all you do on the board, in fact I think it is great.......

Things can allways be made more perfect, but to say "other than the dog pound your students are not in it" is not an accurate statement. The people in the cheap seats at Corbett contribute just as much to the atmopshere as do the members of the Dawg Pound. For instance here is an one of our fans during the Hampton getting things crunk from the upper deck (BTW: he is stilling next to a fan wearing gold): www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY73qG0wLT8The whole arena is a party during our games.

Call it what you will.. I cant do it alone and Ill be King WHATEVER.. but its all about the fans and their involvement for me.. Thats what gets me going and keeps me going... Always trying to outdo the last game. Im trying to figure out what we can do next saturday to surpass the last home game atmosphere...... (other than blue reign vs golden delight)... ;D but I will say this.. Id put our fans up against ANY fans ANYWHERE....14th is cool.. but to me.. were the absolute best.. Mike you should get with them and go to one of their practices.. they actually get together now and practice chants and timimg and all their little things that they do....That might be something good to document or spotlight...
