man, this team has now got me "excited". so much so, that i'm even considering the idea of driving down for the buzzards game even though there won't be a double header. lawd, please keep this team healthy. i sense that mbb will make up for the sadness of our football team by bringing "happiness, wins, and excitement" back to aggieland...

During the broadcast, they said that we won. But neither team shot the ball well. "overall", we didn't shoot the ball well "from the outside" last night either except for lamothe, shell, and olgetree. those 3 guys shot well from the 3 point arc last night but the rest of the team didn't do as well. but this early in the season i'm not concerned. got plenty of time to find a rhythm from the outside, i just want this team to "stay healthy". feels good to finally have 4 dudes who are 6'9" or taller on the roster and all 4 of them can ball, "big difference" compared to last season. it appears that coach ross identified last year's weaknesses and addressed them all with his 2nd recruiting class. and, let me remind everybody that this team is still "very young". if not this season (which i won't rule out), coach ross should be in a position to strongly challenge for a conference championship next season assuming we can keep the talent that we already have... Yeah Felton, both Greek kids and Murphy make a huge difference. Murphy still can't finish though

Yeah Felton, both Greek kids and Murphy make a huge difference. Murphy still can't finish though true about murphy, but the good news is that we don't need his "scoring" this year like we did last year. our other 3 bigs can score but murphy is still "very valuable". he does everything else well, especially "defensively and rebounding". he's the "perfect backup" for felton and if necessary, our 2 "greek freaks" can also backup felton if need be. last night's starters were glasper, shell, mckie, lamothe, and felton. sub murphy for felton and the other 4 players can handle the scoring load if necessary. our bench? is also "loaded", got olgetree and the "greek freak" coming off the bench and we still haven't even seen forrest and qua brown yet...

So I'm perplexed, how can Coach Ross get great student athletes and football can't from the transfer portal?
Not judging but just asking....

in all fairness to coach brown, its "easier" to rebuild a basketball team than a football team for "obvious" reasons. basketball rosters rarely if ever exceed 20 players (including practice players) whereas football may have close to 100 players. in basketball, one or two "major studs" can turn an entire team around. not that easy in football even if you have a "stud qb".
i have my complaints with coach brown, but i would agree that it takes longer to rebuild a football team. the problem with coach brown in that regard is that he is not showing any gradual "improvement", much less a complete rebuild.
i'd also say that coach ross is a far better "qualified" head coach than coach brown. coach ross knows what da heck he's doing, i can't say that about coach brown...

i'm so "geeked" about mbb, my excitement is boiling over. i usually won't allow my expectations to go up so high cuz i hate the "long fall" back down (its depressing) if we don't meet those expectations. so i'm usually cautious about my expectations so that i can protect my feelings.
but i'm "geeked" about men's and women's basketball in part because i've been "suffering" so much during football season. ready to "turn the page" on football season, let "hoop season" begin! hopefully it will take me outta football misery...

Fomby Christian Dingle-Prince Maddox RJ Adams Linebacker from Valdosta who is now starting, etc… I know it’s going to be hard, but let’s celebrate/watch basketball and leave football over there…

I'm going to the Wake Game.
Ross loaded up a nice mix. Does Felton play "facing the basket" also. ( I know that this League will flop on Him.) But facing the basket could be intresting.
I going to try and Travel some and see this show...

Same conference, same limited resources, yet obvious and notable improvement over one year. Could it be Head Coaching experience matters? Just saying....

While his strength is playing with his back to the basket if left open he can knock down the 12-15 footer. agreed. when i watched his highlight video, i commented that he "can shoot" the basketball because his video demonstrated that he has good shooting form/mechanics. so i believe that he'll be a "threat" to shoot the 15 footer if he has a good look at the basket. but i agree that if left open, he can knock down that 15 footer and that's all we need from our 5 as far as outside shooting goes. however, if we really need our 5 to "stretch the defense" beyond 15 feet, then we can sub the "greek freak" in to play the 5 who is very capable of knocking down the "3". that's why i feel that this team has no "obvious" weaknesses. from what i can see, we have the personnel to play "any" style of basketball that we're called upon to play...
