Glad we have potentially a good team.
Was OSA the only spectator?

I went. Shell had a dbl dbl. pts, assists. We seem decent defensively. We are fast and a deeper team. Coach gave Lando the green light, He missed some easy shots ( for him), and we didn’t suffer. McKie comes back with a nice midrange game. And He’s bigger.
Murphy got some run along with the two Greek players. Nick was out on the break. A dunk waiting to happen.
JL/ from Maryland, is solid. Had a quiet 27 and stopped all runs from Mother Cheyney.
Those days of struggling Greensboro College are over.
We look like a Mid-Major…in how we can match up, and with multiple Guys possibly consistently giving us buckets every night.
Corbett. The Students are going to be a problem for teams this year. ( not ‘ham sandwich’ costumes, but man, they gave it to that Bench last night).
In a way, we should have arranged a Special Dinner for Mother Cheyney. It was good to see them and the Philly players.

I only watched highlights, but nice win! Took care of business. I might actually get my Flo Sports back if they keep this up.

if he can stay healthy, he's gone be a problem! I've been telling ya'll this since he landed on campus. I saw him while he was at MIllbrook HS with my girls. If he stays healthy I'm telling you we are going to make some noise. Plays within himself and always to his strengths. I am amazed at how he has changed his body. BTW, isn't he refreshing to see a coach who truly knows what he is doing and how to rebuild and field a competitive team? Just saying

I watched it yesterday. The difference in size and athleticism, from last year, was apparent from the jump. Crowd was definitely into it, but we need to do something about the reserved seats. There needs to be someway to let the kids sit there, if they are going to be empty.
Oh and Glasper won't be one of the leaders in the nation in scoring this year. And I mean that in a good way.

Wake only beat Coppin 64-49. We got the Deacs Thursday night - an upset win could go a long way for Coach Ross and our program. I'm gonna have to check the fellas out in Winston.

What was outcome of our exhibition vs. wssu? During the broadcast, they said that we won. But neither team shot the ball well.

Fellow Posters: I tuned in to FloSports College last night expecting a win, no doubt. This team might be pretty good, especially when everyone is healthy and ready to go. I am definitely encouraged by & with the additions of Lamothe, Ogletree, Felton, and the presence of 3 bigs-one of whom can take you outside like a 2-3 and even an athletic 4 and beat you out there on the perimeter! We may put together a season that will make us forget all about the blur of the year that August-November represented for us with Aggie Football!

I'm happy we beat a DII program by 50 points. We've had problems doing that before. We have legitimate DI competition over these next few weeks. Let's evaluate after we play such teams....

Any word...has he been cleared to play?? that's who i'm looking forward to seeing, he's a "4 star" recruit that's been sidelined by injuries. man, if we can finally get him on the court along with forrest, we'll almost be "overloaded" with talent! olgetree also really impressed me last night, he's gonna be a "dunking machine". olgetaree did a "windmill dunk" in the open court and it went thru "cleanly" with power, but he got so excited cuz there was no one in the front court but him, that he traveled. i think he traveled because he had too much time to think about what kind of dunk he was gonna do and inadvertently traveled though there was nobody near him. we've got "athletes" on this team! "showtime at the club" might be coming back to clubcorbett this season. too bad we no longer have kam langley who was "the best" at perfectly tossing "alley-oop" passes to our high risers. olgetree is a "high riser" and i believe forrest is too based on comments i heard from glasper...

What was outcome of our exhibition vs. wssu? During the broadcast, they said that we won. But neither team shot the ball well. "overall", we didn't shoot the ball well "from the outside" last night either except for lamothe, shell, and olgetree. those 3 guys shot well from the 3 point arc last night but the rest of the team didn't do as well. but this early in the season i'm not concerned. got plenty of time to find a rhythm from the outside, i just want this team to "stay healthy". feels good to finally have 4 dudes who are 6'9" or taller on the roster and all 4 of them can ball, "big difference" compared to last season. it appears that coach ross identified last year's weaknesses and addressed them all with his 2nd recruiting class. and, let me remind everybody that this team is still "very young". if not this season (which i won't rule out), coach ross should be in a position to strongly challenge for a conference championship next season assuming we can keep the talent that we already have...
