The CAA Teams generally have a Tall Player at the 5 position. The Back-up is where the fall off happens, in terms of the back-up balling out. I think that we eventually used Acox in that position to battle. I want to see what we have now. Whoever it is, they need to be quick with Her moves ( dbl teams), and pass decisively.
I like the speed with Guard play. As we faced Teams with short quick Guards that passed the ball to other short players who had a 3 ball that we couldnt close out on once we got tired.
I also cant wait to see the Bench play.
I think that we will win the CAA if we stay healthy, and if Corbett gets Crazier.

Some additional notes about this upcoming season. D'Mya Tucker is still recovering from ACL surgery and even though she would be cleared return after Christmas she will most likely take a medical redshirt. Jordan Dorsey was approached with a Power 4 offer to transfer during the off season but has opted to stay and finish her college career as an Aggie.

Everyone sleeps on the talent we can get as the nations largest HBCU with a great education and beautiful campus.

dang! tucker is probably our best player, it hurts not to have her back for a full season. my daughter experienced an acl injury during her senior year at uncg and i can tell you by experience that it is best not to return "prematurely" from an acl injury. it was somewhat of a blessing in disguise for my daughter cuz it enabled her to attend grad school on uncg's dime to earn her master's degree in kinesiology. she's now finishing up law school at howard university...

Props to her for deciding to stay.

You personally want A&T to lose its HBCU identity. You can't denigrate our school's legacy in one breath and then act like that same legacy is now a selling point.

quite frankly, i think last season's turnout (fan support) for the wnit home games is what kept the vast majority of our players home and key senior players from transferring. and quite honestly, i also think it helped men's basketball recruiting as well. i'm thinking that our men's program saw the energy in clubcorbett for our women, probably thinking that if our women can draw that kinda energy in clubcorbett, then imagine what a successful men's team can do...

That factor along with Coach Rob's relationship with his players were key elements as to why so many of the up-and-coming players within the CAA as well as some from other mid-majors decided to transfer to A&T in the offseason. The fan support for the women's basketball here was not an illusion during last year's NIT run. It's very real. BTW, UNC will be coming to Corbett Nov 12 and will return to Corbett next season in 25-26 as well because of a peculiar set of scheduling problems on their part.
We also tried hard to schedule other in-state schools like UNCG and Wake but no one wants to play us anymore. Not surprising once you start beating them on a regular.

Good thing about being in the CAA is that Elon, UNCW and Campbell are forced to play us.

Don't know that I agree that Tucker is probably our best player. Good and maybe top 3 or 4.
