Be glad when he recruits some dynamite guards like Coach Bibbs did. Be glad when he can get multiple bona fide knock down 3 point shooters. His teams always lack these 2 areas to me. Also he needs to get some fast, quick guards and some big people who can make a put back and lay ups. Other than this he is a fair coach. You are tripping, you do not like hus recruiting strategy but we are winning. Wins matter more than how you feel about his recruiting. Robinson’s three MEAC tournament titles came in 2016, 2018, and 2021, and his four MEAC regular-season titles came in 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021. As the Aggies head coach, A&T has made six postseason appearances – three NCAA tournaments (2016, 2018, 2021) and three WNITs (2013, 2014, 2019). In addition, Robinson has five 20-win seasons (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2017-18, 2018-19), and his teams have finished lower than fourth place only four times during his tenure. Also that season, the Aggies made history by becoming the first historically black college or university to win consecutive games in the preseason WNIT |

20 39 did you see the last game in our gym in the WNIT playoffs? We did not have outside shooters. That team that beat us were hitting 3's from all over the gym. We could not hit jack on our own court.
If you know anything about basketball you should know we had poor outside shooters.
You just don't won't to criticize the coach. He has been at T long enough to find quality shooters and big women. Just about every opposing team over his career as head coach has faster and better guards.
I observed him blow two championship games in the MEAC Tournament in Norfolk because the other teams had better guard play. We were leading at half time in both of those games. Their guards stepped up in the second half and blew past our guards with ease and speed.
In my opinion he has not learned from not recruiting fast and quick guards that can really shoot accurately. With his supposedly great record he should be able to recruit better players regarding these areas.
It is ok to criticize the coach when he is deficient in some areas.
Again the 5 year renewal of his contract is tooo long. Hilton should have gone for 3 years.

One or two years is too easy for another college to buy out his contract. You want to make it hard for someone to take your coach.

We fell apart late in the season because of depth issues with injuries/pregnancy. Our ladies went super hard short handed in the CAA and advanced past UNCG and ODU post season. The MEAC tournament moved to Norfolk in 2013. We've never lost a Championship game appearance during that time period. I'll give you the 2018-19 season when we were regular season champs(16-0), but we lost to NSU in the semifinals. T Rob has kept us in contention with the Top teams every year through multiple conference changes along with several upsets. I need more facts to validate your opinion lol. My only gripe is T Rob doesn't keep assistants long enough to develop a dependable coaching tree. If he leaves, we'll have to start from ground zero. |

OSthinker. The fact is that you like so many make excuses every year because of certain situations. All teams experience this so quit making excuses for the games we lost.
My point is with the experience he has as a past recruiter and head coach, he should be able to recognize and recruit better guards and Biggs to A&T.
He does not take advantage of his record and success at T to recruit really top notch players.
To me Coach Rob can elevate his label by me as a fair coach by using his recruiting and coaching knowledge to recruit top notch players to his program and win championships.
