I sent Mr Speight an email regarding a linear broadcast idea. Is he now the point person for media-related stuff?

That 'right person' would ideally be a marketing director, but since that position does not currently exist I am not sure who would handle such requests.
I tried reaching out to Jeremy Wright in the past, but never got a response. I am not really sure what he does any way. I think he may only work there part time.

Hey Oleschool, Did you know that Hampton’s AD told the Pirateship Podcast team that they get paid per Viewer? Is that proof enough or should someone here ask their AD or Earl? I’m curious to learn your level of proof needed. that ain't proof, that's "hearsay". proof is documentation from the conference. if its true, it should not be difficult to find documentation online that reflects such a payout...

Saabman, I think I accidently deleted your last message about the viewership numbers. Can you please repost.
Sorry about that.

"Did you know that Hampton’s AD told the Pirateship Podcast team that they get paid per Viewer" Basically I said in my reply that it doesn't work like that. It's a certain level of viewers that you have to reach before money Changes hands or becomes involved. In essence is not per viewer but the number of viewers over a minimum mark. Like on YouTube and tick tock.

It wasn’t a claim. It’s in the Knight Commission Database. If you don’t want to look up our 2023 data, that’s on you. Not me. You! 2. I could put in the additional leg work but my media company does not cover college athletics. I’m not spending resources to prove anything here. It’s not up to me to make you accept any information I choose to give. 3. I can provide all the proof in the world. But I’m not changing your mind on anything. And that’s okay. It’s not my job to do that. So as my readers say, “SIP THE TEA OR SPIT!”

The same amount of time and effort it took to respond on this thread is the same amount of 'resources' it would take to submit a FOIA request to the school.

ESPN2 is in 45Million homes yet the SWAC championship game had 250K viewers. A high number of subscribers does not mean those subscribers will watch the games. ESPN + and ESPN 2 are two different streaming platforms. ESPN2 is NOT a streaming platform. It's in cable packages.

Does "paid per viewer" mean only live streaming counts?
Correct me if I am wrong, but A&T does not have the option to choose between their games being streamed on Flosports or ESPN+. This is decided by the conference. IMO, no matter what streaming platform we belong to the maximum viewership of our games is strongly dependent on the conference. We can't really decouple the two. You mainly want to watch your team and track the performance of your conference opponents, unless you have some other reason to crossover to a different platform to watch another team (HBCU, relative or friend attendance, etc).
If you can tape delay and stream these games later and they count towards paid per viewer or schools have the option to choose their own streaming service, then my post is meaningless.

ESPN + and ESPN 2 are two different streaming platforms. ESPN2 is NOT a streaming platform. It's in cable packages. EESPN Plus is separate from the ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNews cable networks, so a subscription will not grant you access to live broadcasts of those channels. To get livestreaming access to ESPN's cable channels, you must sign up for a live TV streaming service like Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, or FuboTV. Again Two different streaming platforms.
