I think FLOSPORTS might be ok for non revenue sports but until they align with major carriers you don't get any exposure for revenue sports. You don't get any new eyes on your products only, team fans who are willing spend extra for the stream which by the way is at best iffy.

So perhaps people are actually tuning into FloSports?

Our CAA counterparts show up to our away games...it'll be interesting to see if this continues once the curiosity goes away...

The FloSports platform in my opinion seems to be more North friendly and this is coming from friends that are Hampton graduates that live in North Carolina . I have both the FloSports and ESPN + packages . I find FloSports to be the weakest of the two and if it were not for A&T I would have dropped FloSports all together it's trash and garbage in my opinion.

It allows those schools in larger markets the ability to broadcast almost all their games on local TV. Games can be broadcast on linear tv up to 150 miles away from the school, with the northern schools that is a lot of homes. With people cord cutting that is definitely a positive to the Flo deal.

You guys are burying the lede here. How much money do we actually get from Flosports viewership?
Where can we find that information?

Someone will need to submit a FOIA request for the FloSports contract but IIRC, we got $100,00 “upfront” and our FY 2023 income from the CAA, including NCAA distribution was over $800,000+. The highest seen since we were getting 7-figures from the Celebration Bowl/MEAC distribution

Is that $800K+ higher or lower than what we were getting in the Big South and MEAC?

So perhaps people are actually tuning into FloSports? so the same platform that ya'll "trashed" (when the meac used to use it), is now "suddenly" no longer garbage? flosports "barely" has 1 million total subscribers, while espn plus "alone" (not including other espn networks) has roughly "25 million" subscribers. how da hail hamtonites could say that they get more eyeballs on their games in flosports than they did while on espn plus is ridiculous. sounds like a bunch of "homecooking", imo. cuz for every 1 subscriber that flosports has, there are 25 subscribers on espn plus. no comparision, espn plus is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better and it also offers far more "games" to watch than flosports. anybody who would argue differently is "insane", the numbers don't lie...

Did yall get paid per viewer on espn+ and how many of those 25M viewers did you get? It also sounds like you to had to win the CB to get the same amount of money you get in a down yr on Flosports now. I could be wrong unless someone verifies the actual numbers.

ESPN2 is in 45Million homes yet the SWAC championship game had 250K viewers.
A high number of subscribers does not mean those subscribers will watch the games.
