Major work to do recruiting pitchers. [br If it’s me, MAYBE 3 or 4. I’ll start with Carter Daniels & build around him. The rest just ARE NOT mid-major D1 pitchers. Daniels RHP Simmons RHP Poris RHP Ortiz RHP The rest? IDK

I imagine everyone is hitting up the foreign baseball academies? Like every other sport it probably gonna come down to NIL $.

A lot of hitters leaving … Pitcher Brown was injured all season. Do you consider him a D1 pitcher if he is fully recovered?

Negishi was a great transfer portal pickup. He was probably the offensive MVP this season.

A lot of hitters leaving … Pitcher Brown was injured all season. Do you consider him a D1 pitcher if he is fully recovered? It was unfortunate that Brown was injured all season and was on the shelf. My prayer for him as a young man is his speedy, yet complete and thorough recovery. To your question however, my candid appraisal and answer is "no." Prior to his injury, he got hit HARD virtually every outing, almost at the same level of abuse that Delisi suffered during his time with us. If he had Tommy John surgery or torn labrum repair or rotator cuff repair, it's entirely possible that with good rehab, he could return stronger with more velo. I've seen it happen. His mechanics were "different," if not weird. He looked like he was throwing a discus when he pitched, so I think there was some strain on the ulnar nerve resulting in the injury and making Tommy John necessary. We'll see if he's welcomed back for next season, as Coach Hall will conduct those 1-on-1's after the Towson series next weekend, if not sooner.

Negishi was a great transfer portal pickup. He was probably the offensive MVP this season. You are absolutely correct, sir! He SHOULD be a lock for All-CAA Honors, but he probably won't be first team All-CAA at first base. That distinction will go to Tanner Thatch from UNC-Wilmington. He's hitting .333 on the season with TWENTY SIX (26) HOME RUNS and 69 RBI! He was a freshman all-american last season, and will definitely be a 5th-9th round draft choice next spring. Negishi SHOULD receive 2nd Team All-CAA as a first baseman OR he could get first team honors as a "utility" player, as he played 1st and DH'd. Canyon Brown SHOULD be ALL-CAA as a catcher, as he leads the league in runners caught, but he's playing for the 11th place team in the league, so that may relegate him to Honorable Mention honors. He's gonna get drafted late, and I highly suspect that he'll sign and go. Coley Kilpatrick MAY receive HM All-CAA honors, as may TJ Ash. Outside of those fellas, that's it. Coach is going to have to hit the portal, the spring/summer showcase circuit, and the NC high school playoff landscape HARD. It's time out for these dudes from Catawba Valley Community College (that's where Serber was and was bringing in those dudes who basically threw BP during the real game), and other D3 JuCos. Pitching depth is what separates programs. It SICKENING to see NCSU, ECU, UNC, Campbell, WF, and even Davidson have 20-23 pitchers on the roster, with ALL or a high majority of them having velo of 90+. It's dudes on UNC's & ECU's roster who have tossed 3 innings ON THE SEASON WHO'LL BE DRAFTED in 3 weeks!

I think 2025 might be the most important year of Coach Hall's tenure at A&T. We'll have a new chancellor next year and I keep hearing changes are coming within our athletic department.
If we get any serious action with the War Memorial renovation project this summer, Hall will no longer have that get-out-of-jail-free card in his back pocket ... and he might be reporting to a new boss.
In 2023, we finished in the bottom three of the conference standings. In 20024, we will finish next to last.
If we dont have a major improvement in 2025, I don't know if Hall will get another chance to rebuild in 2026.

If we dont have a major improvement in 2025, I don't know if Hall will get another chance to rebuild in 2026. But Thrilla, HERE IS THE PROBLEM: On the grand scale and in the grand scheme of things, HBCU's, outside of Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Edward Waters, Albany State, Jackson State, Stillman, and MAYBE Southern U DO NOT CARE ABOUT BASEBALL! I'm of the belief that our program could occupy the 10-12th spot in the CAA, but as long as the "revenues" are competitive and such, baseball will continue to be an afterthought and fly under the radar. Think about it...A few years back, WSSU won a consecutive CIAA chip, won a D2 regional, and was an out away from the D2 world series. Their reward? When they got back to Winston, coach Ritschke was greeted as he got off the bus with the news that the program was being dropped. A few years back, NCCU's team was predicted to win the MEAC, played well, had THREE pro prospects who did get drafted (Corey Joyce, Austin Vernon and Greensboro's own Carter Williams). Before their FIRST GAME vs Army at the historic DAP, the AD called coach Koerner in and told him that baseball operations would be "suspended" after the season (a fancy way of saying "dropped). The AD then proceeded to NOT COME TO A SINGLE GAME all season, but when the team advanced to the MEAC tourney final game vs. NSU, she went on IG singing their praises and pledging her unwavering support and best wishes in the game. Needless to say, that didn't end well. EVERYTIME a HBCU needs to "save money" or "be in compliance with title IX, baseball is done for! Howard, Morgan State, SC State, NCCU, just to name a few. In my "Doughboy" voice: "Either they don't know, don't show, or don't care what's really going great in HBCU baseball!"

Baseball is on the decline among African Americans and thus why it's declining at HBCUs. Kids just aren't playing baseball like they were 25 years ago

Hall will be there in 26, i do not understand why people on this board continue to think athletics will be the new Chancellor #1 priority🤣🤣
Our Apr is rising and fundraising is up...
No scandals or sanctions smh
And upgrades on the way.
Furthermore, fans do not understand facilities is in charge of the athletics renovations not the athletics department 🤣🤣
