Iowa's Clark is box office. Amber Calvin was box office. James Sparrow was box office. Tarik Cohen was box office. I disagree that we need to abandon the notion. It we find a player that can shoot 40%+ from 3-point range, that could be box office for us. People would pay to see that night in and night out AND we win at least five more games. Who could be: If Chaniya Clark gets stronger in the paint and dominates her opponent night in and night out, I'd pay to see that. If Paris Locke finds an outside shot... If Dorsey uses her outside shot... If Bracone gets her confidence back ... If Tucker plays with aggression ... Any one of them can have a transformational year or it could be a newcomer. My bet is that Clark has another outstanding summer and the defies the guard driven environment and becomes our point-center.

It appears Mia Hardin has also entered the transfer portal, giving coach another scholarship for next year.By my account that gives coach a total of four available scholarships for 24/25.It would be great if we could find another player or two the caliber of Chanin Scott, size plus skill.

Obviously, you never know how things will work out but this group of incoming freshmen, looks on paper, as if they will be able to contribute right away. Especially Griffin,Jessup and Howard. The loss of both Acox and Davis could allow for a veteran or two transferees to fill out the roster.Shooters have to be a priority. I've always thought that HOWARD would be the leader-of-the-pack of incoming players for this upcoming season. I think that I'm a lot higher on her than most in here, though.

I was wondering if Dorsey met your definition since she was 1st team CAA, but now I know.

The lady had ups.If you go back and look at the player Stats for 20/21 and 21/22 she lead the team in virtually every offensive category. But I do agree that we could use some additional height and shooters.

Amber Bland was Box Office Yep. Good things would happen when she got the ball. She was a 30-point scorer in high school. We were lucky to get her from Penn State. The TP has changed our likelihood of getting that type of player again, but I'm hopeful Cosch Rob can work some magic.

The few times I saw Hardin play she was good at rebounding, setting screens and getting a few hard fouls. I saw potential and loved her effort but to be effective at this level she would have needed to trim down a bit. Good luck to her on the next stop.
