+1 for winning the 1st round bid. He had a good idea that we would cover the bid from ticket sales and our regular season attendance was probably known by those selecting or approving the bid. Landing the invite to the tournament was the biggest challenge of all which goes to the coach and team.
I will add another +1 if the students had to pay.

I'm wondering whether there will be a similar turnout/ attendance since Friday is a holiday (Easter weekend) It will be. Students have seen the videos. And they are excited. And it's Aggie Fest week

whoever keeps shouting things out must be seated near the announcers cuz i can hear every word. need to make him move or take a chill pill... Umm it's a basketball game. Why shouldn't people be yelling and engaged in the game. And yes that was me and i will be sitting there again Friday night

Professor and A&T-roy are the two most obnoxious fans at every home game. I will alert security if they get out of hand on Friday.

This is just coaches talk after they have lost a close game that was winnable. Coach Rob would have said the same thing. Old Dominion had several close games in their conference play that prepared them for postseason tournament similar to us. My take is that both teams did not play their best. This is based on schedule results that show this is the lowest scoring game that either team played in all season. Either team could have won this game due to poor execution by both teams. Neither team could buy a basket for the last 3 minutes of the game. Thank God Bracone made that 3pt shot. Both teams had 22 turnovers. Both teams had 13 steals. We shot 17% and they shot 26% from 3PT. We shot 35% and they shot 32% from FG%. FT percentages were bad. Let's take the win and hope we play much better our next game to move on to the next round. 🙏 the only part of your post that i disagree with is what i placed in "bold" type. during the game, everybody kept complaining about why we were missing so many shots under the basket? we missed 'em cuz odu "defended" extremely well just like we did on the other end. we made each other's so called "easy shots" very difficult shots. just because you're under the basket, doesn't mean its an easy shot. almost every shot under the basket was "contested" on both ends, that's why so many "under the basket" shots were missed and personally, i luv it cuz i luv "defense". when its "win or go home" time? i don't worry about stats, all i care about are "results". shoot, i got frustrated with our turnovers, but we forced odu to commit just as many turnovers as we did. ya don't get "easy shots" in a "win or go home" game. heck, dorsey had a key steal in the game and appeared to be on her way to an uncontested layup on the other end, but an odu player literally "ran her down" from behind and "cleanly" blocked her shot. again, there were no "easy shots" in this game and that's a perfect example...

We all heard you Professor and rightfully so. Frankly, I felt like we didn't get enough home cooking. It was hard to tell because of the size differential but it seems to me we didn't get enough home cooking. Acox, Shaq, and Tucker were cleaning the glass.

I'm wondering whether there will be a similar turnout/ attendance since Friday is a holiday (Easter weekend) good question. but right now, we're the "darlings" of the wnit because of our "electric" atmosphere in clubcorbett to go along with 2 very exciting "finishes". we're on a roll right now. my "gut" is telling me that we will have another great turnout for game 3 of the wnit. this run should really help coach rob's recruiting! and believe it or not, i also think it could help coach ross's recruiting with the men cuz if i'm coach ross, i'd let my recruits see how "electric" clubcorbett is for our women's games which would be even more "electric" if our men have similar success. if i'm glasper and shell, that atmosphere would be a very strong reason to stay put at a&t...

I believe the biggest reason the score was so low was because both teams are pretty good defensive teams. As far as whether which team is the better team, we had 3 common opponents (Elon, Delaware and Bill & Mary) and the results were similar. As a result, I believe we're very similar teams. I agree that both teams play good defense (top 3 in their respective conferences), but both team's opponents average 55 to 60 pts/gm. Both teams still should have scored more. Maybe post season nerves also was a factor. I am satisfied that we won and get to play another day. OSA also said that both team defenses were a factor. I agree. Defenses normally play up to potential during short preparation over offense.

I am still hoarse from cheering last night but one thing I wish we could improve on is the bigs staying on their feet…we fall quite often Physical contact makes you fall. That was a physical game a lot of contact down low in the paint so trees are going to fall when you have a lot of contact. I'm not really into picking on the referees, but there were a lot of calls that they made against all players for doing the exact same thing that Odus players were doing on the opposite end. But we won so I'm satisfied.
