Just getting home from our local Souls to the Polls efforts and saw the score. What happened, I understand our Ladies Aggies were up 21-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. Again, if you saw the game, please tell me what happened?...

Attendance: 1,048
Monmouth 80, North Carolina A&T 76 (2OT) | Box Score Jania Hall scored all her game-high 21 points in the second half and overtime to lift Monmouth (16-8, 9-4 CAA) over North Carolina A&T (16-8, 10-3 CAA) 80-76 in double overtime. The Hawks overcame a 16-point deficit to win their 10th consecutive game on the road, extending a program record. Monmouth never led in regulation but scored five points in the final 32 seconds, including the game-tying three-pointer from Kaci Donovan with five seconds remaining. The Hawks took their first lead by opening the scoring in the first overtime, but back-to-back layups gave A&T a 63-60 lead with 53 seconds remaining. However, another clutch three – this time from Hall – tied the game with 22 seconds remaining, and the teams traded free throws to extend the game by five more minutes. Trailing 70-69, Monmouth rallied off a 7-0 run, proving to be the difference, before icing the game at the free throw line. Hall was joined in double figures by Sandrine Clesca (17), Donovan (16) and Ariana Vanderhoop (11). A&T also had four players in double figures, led by Paris Locke with 18 points, who was accompanied by Maleia Bracone (17), Chaniya Clark (15) and Keona Curtis (10).

Free Throws and turnovers hold this team back from greatness.

Free Throws and turnovers hold this team back from greatness. Injuries are a bigger factor than free throws. There is a significant drop off in productivity when Smith runs the point. I would love to know the status of Darks and Willis!!!! Without Tucker playing Dorsey and Bracone couldnt get much of a rest.

Free Throws and turnovers hold this team back from greatness. Before this game..we were 2nd in the conf for FT%. Turnovers just seem to be in our DNA. Monmouth went 28-30 from the line.

We seam to lose one or two players for the season every year. Is that common in women's basketball?

Still can’t believe we had a 16pt lead😩 Monmouth may be our new kryptonite!! No Execution is our new Kryptonite. At this point in the season teams are better prepared to participate against us. Our Kryptonite will be not being able to step up our in game participation against our opponents. Yes we have players out but we have to make the adjustments and Elevate, sustain and advance our playing level until they return and even then we have to cut down on errors especially the ones of our own making going into the tournament season and dance . In my opinion we are our own Kryptonite.

There's no more "take the least path of resistance" to get throttled later mentality. Monmouth won the CAA championship last season. They came to our house on a mission to knock off the first place team. It's a mentality transition for us.

The next game is next Sunday. The Team can use it. I’ve heard that your jump shot leaves when you are tired, idk about FT Shots.
We gave it away. Fought to get the ball back and couldn’t close the deal. I don’t think that much needs to be said. The Team is still right there.
Is it me, or are the games more physical. And I don’t mean us diving for balls. But the Tie-ups. Crazy…
Get healthy A&T. Let the dogs eat dogs next Friday.

There ain't no easy games in the CAA, you got to fight for every win...every time. If they were up like we were they would have never let off the gas until the final whistle. We have got to develop this type of cut throat mentality in our program as well.

I don’t remember seeing Tucker yesterday.
Overall, I say that we are right there.
