The Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C. will be the home for 10 straight days of exciting basketball action. The CAA Men’s Basketball Championship takes place from Friday, March 7 to Tuesday, March 11, followed by the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship from Wednesday, March 12 to Sunday, March 16

It's a pretty cool spot.

Just wish the men's tournament wouldn't have semifinals & ship on Monday & Tuesday.

the esa is a nice facility but it officially seats less than corbett center, around 4k capacity for basketball games. i dunno, maybe that's appropriate for the caa...

I don't believe it filled up for either the men's or women's tournaments.

Less than 2k for the men's ship.
700 for the women's ship.

And I would rather have a venue that looks more full than one that really looks empty. And full places tend to make people want to attend.

Just imagine the Aggies making the CAA finals, the esa would practically be sold out or close due to our alumna chapters and fan bases in the dmv….

Though the Tuesday night puts a bit of a crimp in it, for the men, I expect it would be much fuller and bonkers!

Same for the women!
