Looks like we are already a month behind on the War Memorial renovation project. Must be that pesky Historic Committee again. Also, we're gonna have to wait until 2027 to replace the prison fence around Trust Stadium. I am not sure if that is the case. IIRC, that timeline is July 3rd, 2023 - August 31st, 2025. Plus, the BOT finally approved to spend at least $8 million on the upgrades. There is likely some things going on with the selection of the contractors and planning of specific dates to finally get to work there. At least, I'm hopeful of that. It's likely nothing won't really be done until the season is done in May. Also, whose idea was it to change the alignment of the baseball diamond? What does that now mean for the future Softball field configuration?

Forget this timeline... there will be a new sheriff in town, and everything will change. The new chancellor (and new AD) may have a different view of athletics. My bet is that AD Hilton will leave when Chancellor Martin steps down.

And that goes for athletics. Also, the transition will take place next summer.

My bet is that AD Hilton will leave when Chancellor Martin steps down. so you think the plan is about to be tossed out/modified? Tossed out/ modified/ ignored or just damn forgotten! The next administration has some big shoes to fill and lots of vocal Aggie alumni just waiting for them to misstep! So, they will focus mainly on keeping the ship (the academics and enrollment) afloat. But that could take all of the new administration's time and energy so athletics will once again become an afterthought. I'm not saying that "will" happen, but I'm just mentally preparing myself for it if it does happen. Like you guys are mentally preparing for the War Memorial Stadium to remain a dump for the next 10 years! I tend to expect the worst then celebrate if it doesn't happen. And with Chancellor Martin leaving, I expect to see A&T wandering in the HBCU wilderness for a few years before the new administration discovers that athletics is important to us alums.

So I'll begin the speculation for our next Chancellor. That person would be Dr. Anthony Graham, former Provost and current Interim Chancellor at WSSU. Was the Dean of the School of Ed at A&T. Dr. Graham will be an excellent leader. After he gets some more experience he will be a good fit. www.wssu.edu/profiles/grahama/index.html

Congrats, Chancellor Martin!
That was one helluva run and you are quite the visionary! A&T is miles ahead now...
Regarding our next Chancellor, my primary attributes would visionary, strategic, and master at corporate fundraising. This plans are in place but execution will be crucial to remaining revelant and explosive growth....
What I don't want is a Chancellor that focuses soley on academics and not the whole unversity experieince including athletic excellence.....R1 is going to happen without a doubt! Those wheels are in motion.....
IJS!

Congrats and thank you Chancellor Martin!
We should have some strong candidates for his replacement that can keep our forward momentum.
