Athletically we are screwed. This is WSSU going D1 all over again. So... When Martin left WSSU, did they their own stadium? Did they also have a fundraising campaign and a BOT that approved millions for Athletic facility improvements.

no way! hard to believe, though that's what happened after he moved wssu to the meac, he stepped down as their chancellor. but i find it hard to believe that he's stepping down after all the changes he's put our athletics through. he needs to see his changes thru all the way 'til the end. i'll believe it if and only if an "official" announcement is made... Oh lawd !! Get ready for a new round of conspiracy theories on why after almost 15 years at NCAT Martin is announcing his retirement. He has done an excellent job and I hate to see him go, but if anyone is deserving of a retirement...he has earned it. Now lets do what we do as Aggies, and start putting together a list of who we thing he should pass the baton to...The NCAT job is a prime position, particularly in HBCU circles. The next Chancellor not only has to be a excellent academic administrator, but a great fund raiser as well. It's gonna take cash to keep the University heading in the right direction. Who's that guy at High Point college....doe he have any friends

I’m not surprised. Chancellor Martin graduated in 1974. Next year is his 50th year as a graduate. His wife graduated in 1975. She has retired. After 50 years, it’s time for them to sit back, travel and enjoy your their lives. I salute them both!

So I'll begin the speculation for our next Chancellor. That person would be Dr. Anthony Graham, former Provost and current Interim Chancellor at WSSU. Was the Dean of the School of Ed at A&T.

completely, un-friggin' believable!! yep, he did the exact same thing at wssu. moved them to a new division and conference, and then "bounced". its "irresponsible" on his part to completely overhaul our athletics and move it to a pwc conference, and then "bounce". un-friggin' believable!! i'm numb. i've said all along that since he moved us to these pwc conferences that he needs to see it thru 'til the very end and now look at what happened? i mean, i swear, the man did an extremely good job while our chancellor and the only thing i disagreed with was his initiatives to move us out of the meac. however, you won't get an argument from me that he didn't do an outstanding job as our chancellor, indeed he did except for leaving the meac. now i have to get down on my knees and pray that whoever replaces him will move us back "home" to the meac where we belong...

Did they also have a fundraising campaign and a BOT that approved millions for Athletic facility improvements. The Alums during his tenure loved him. He grew the academic programs, the student population and the campus infrastructure. He stayed at A&T way longer than most chancellors and presidents do at other schools of higher education. He left WSSU to become the second leading person in the UNC system. So, hopefully we thank him and appreciate his love and service to A&T.

We. Are. Not. Rejoining. The. MEAC. That ship sailed in 2022 when we were invited back but opted for our CAA invite instead. Also we're not going to raise over $90 million dollars to improve our facilities, building a new Convocation Center to rejoin the MEAC.

Thank you Chancellor Martin for a job well done. At your age you deserve to retire and enjoy life with your family and friends.

On another note, AD Hilton days are numbered. He had a life line as long as Chancellor Martin was in charge.
The university athletic department needs a change in this position to better our athletic programs.

Most people retire between the ages of 62-65. Don't you think he want to spend his remaining years enjoying his family and friends. The new Chancellor should be smart enough to carry out and improve what Chancellor Martin started as far as the CAA is concerned.
