And Aggies 77 I truly don't care what the players think about that single decision. And I'm certain I'm not practicing blind faith. I have 20/20 vision. I just think we are overreacting. Brown has been our coach for 1 game.

What is the overreaction? To state that it is weird timing to have a try out interest meeting during the same week we are scheduled to host our arch rival in the home opener?
Loyal supporters and former players alike both find that strange.
Saying something is odd does not make you a hater. Nobody is here saying Vincent Brown is a bad coach after losing one game. But you don’t have to be a sycophant and pretend every time anybody in the program does something it is always perfect.

The issue is that you post all over Twitter for God and the world to see and start doubting our program. Believe it or not you are the unofficial voice of Aggie Nation and it seems as if that responsibility is being taken lightly. People take your words as gospel and right now it’s a lot of negativity 🤷🏾♂️
You can think it’s weird but there is nothing positive that will be achieved through the posts.
Let that man run his program.

I hope you are right. Today I posted information encouraging folks to sign up for the upcoming HOF golf tournament and also support a new charity initiative by one of our students athletes.
Please, everybody, take my posts as gospel:

It's kinda weird to issue this call during the season. Especially during the week before your big home opener against Central. Seems like you are creating more work and distractions for the coaching staff, instead of just preparing your current players to face an archrival. Yeah, kinda weird when one hasn't seen it done before. Who knows, maybe he's done it or seen it done in other places and it's worked fine...biggest rival coming up or not. #NewDay #NewThings

Let's focus more on what's happening on the field and less on the crap off the field. We had a good tuneup game last week (got a good workout, nobody got seriously injured and we got a big check) and now it's time to focus on those Durham heathens. Let's table the discussion on tryout meetings and what color uniforms we wore and focus on building up our hatred for them a**holes from Durham. I love all you guys and I'm ready for some payback!

Let's focus more on what's happening on the field and less on the crap off the field. The best way to do that is for the football program to not make major, public announcements about things happening off the field.

Call it negativity if you want, but there is no logical reason to do this now. There's a difference in walking by a frat house an seeing a guy, or talking to your neighbor that knows a guy. The optics here after a loss and before the home opener against a hated rival just seems weirdly timed. At the very least what does it says to the current players? Please tell me the account was hacked! See, there you go with those definitives (no). Maybe there's "no" logical reason in your mind.

Being supportive of the program doesn't mean you can't have real time commentary of the things that are happening within the program. Especially the information the program itself puts out for public consummation. If they dont want people to share their opinion on decisions they are making as a football program, then don't announce those decisions publicly on social media. Newsflash: We will be analyzing each and every thing Coach Brown and his staff does for the remainder of the season. Like we have always done on this site for the past 2 decades. Talking candidly about A&T football on a A&T football fan site should not come as a shock to people. Since u have such a concern about the meeting , what's going to happen and why it's taking place, why not ask Coach Brown at the weekly press conference?

Of course I will ask him about that tomorrow at the press conference. That is a no brainer.
When have I not asked a question that fans are curious about? Hell, I will talk about it tonight on Blue Death After Dark.

Odd time to post tryout notifications, especially when there are 106 players on our roster. Perhaps he's in need of some high gpa's? I doubt if he's looking for major contributors walking around campus
I would expect that it's already been explained to the team?

This is not the big deal that some of you are making this into . How does that meeting even effect current players on the team especially the scholarship players? It may have some effect on the walk-on players but even that is a minor degree because (Walk-ons) are expendable players and can be replaced by a more talented walk on at any time in the SPRING or not ( Walk-Ons can be dismissed, replaced at the drop of a hat.
If I were a borderline scholarship player or preferred walk on, on this team, that would fire me up to show that I belong .Work myself into the rotation or on the field, so that I could obtain a scholarship and not risk being replaced by someone from this meeting. What Brown is doing does not show that he does not have faith in this team.
Some of you praise Brown for his use of social media and his non-traditional approach to changing the culture of this program, yet out of the same mouth you questioning the man about his approach to find untapped Talent.
As large as the student body population at A&T is, it would not surprise me that there are former football players that have played college football regardless of level, and possibly regained the fire to play again, with the understanding that it will be as a walk-on if they can replace them.
Also this could or should make the walk-on pool deeper and more competitive talent wise for a uniform. The higher the quality level of the Walk-on should transcend to a higher level of competition and practice. Because you have never heard of it being done, that does not mean it has not been done. I like what Brown is doing and I don't see any problem with what he is doing and personally I don't think the players mind either, that is if you're not a walk on.
