My guess is this meeting is to tell potential walk-ons to make good grades and get in shape NOW at the beginning of the semester, not in December when it's too late.

We have a bye in two weeks after the Elon game. Anything not 100 percent focused on beating Central right now can be moved back to then.

That is your opinion. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, doesn’t mean it matters or is correct.
However the amount of negativity over him doing things differently is a lot.

The amount of positivity over him doing things different is much greater and well documented. Stop being emotional whenever you hear things that you don't like.

I'm indifferent on this. I tend to yield to those that have expertise. Brown has been around football and know more football than we all collectively will know on this site. I'm with 2039, git behind him and give him space. Perhaps he and his staff can walk and chew bubble gum simultaneously. Trust me, the faithful will judge him harshly if he fails to put a good product on the field.

Call it negativity if you want, but there is no logical reason to do this now. There's a difference in walking by a frat house an seeing a guy, or talking to your neighbor that knows a guy. The optics here after a loss and before the home opener against a hated rival just seems weirdly timed. At the very least what does it says to the current players?

Don't care what it says to current players. They are just that current players, and feel the same way about former players for that matter. Either you trust our leadership's decision to appoint Brown or not. It's really just that simple.
Cmon family, it's such low hanging fruit to over analyze every decision the new coach makes after his debut. Allow the buzzards and haters to do that. Get on board and opt to be a supporter, not a fanatic.

Being supportive of the program doesn't mean you can't have real time commentary of the things that are happening within the program. Especially the information the program itself puts out for public consummation.
If they dont want people to share their opinion on decisions they are making as a football program, then don't announce those decisions publicly on social media.
Newsflash: We will be analyzing each and every thing Coach Brown and his staff does for the remainder of the season. Like we have always done on this site for the past 2 decades. Talking candidly about A&T football on a A&T football fan site should not come as a shock to people.

When a bad decision is made it should be questioned, not blindly accepted. So much for supporting the players, HUH! I think it does matter to the current players' state of mind going into the biggest game of the season. It seems your comments are more fanatic than supporter, with your the blind faith that there can be no wrong because our leadership can do no wrong either. WTH?

I hear you BT, you wouldn't be doing the very same thing that you've accused 2039 of are you? I'm choosing logic over emotion. Of course fans spew all kinds of crazy stuff. But supporters and those that choose logic will settle down and allow reason to temper themselves.
I just don't believe from what I've seen of Brown to just be derelict in his duties. He knows who Central is. He knows the importance of this game. You really think that he's gonna go ALL-IN on tryouts? Just how many kids do you think will even show up for it, if it's even true?
Just the other day you had McDaniel showering praises of Brown's organization and I assume Lamar is critical of the timing of the tryout? Much to do about nothing. What's gonna be the narrative when the buzzards fall out of the sky on Saturday? I guess Brown will be the new Broadway, facetiously speaking.
