What is it with you 39 . I get the impression from you that you have a problem with any HBCU culture that is not A&T . But even then I get the feeling from you that A&T is not White enough or has not assimilated enough for you , with the little comments that you say here and there . If you have a problem with HBCU culture, you must have a problem with A&T because A&T personifies the HBCU cultural experience . Haha, a cute comment. You are some what right but extreme. What is HBCU culture?Additionally, what are those comments? WOW, that pretty much verifies my earlier comment...at least for me, anyway. As Big Perk says, "Carry the hell on."

I don’t have disdain for anything, I asked people to describe it and they can’t… I don’t believe in limiting opportunities because of race which is what people like to do. I’m about what’s best regardless of race in which some people can’t seem to get past. All HBCUs don’t have the same culture or goals but people continue to group us together and shun people point that out. It doesn’t bother me to not have people agree

What opportunities are being limited because of race? How is that even relevant to this topic?
I fear you might be projecting some of your own insecurities here.

In a nutshell, I would say HBCU culture is a common desire by students and alumni to honor African American history, celebrate our unique experience in this country and strive to uplift our community. A byproduct of that is the social activism that our students and alumni have consistently performed around the globe and the unique pageantry of our sporting events and mass gatherings.
And yes, even non-black HBCU students and alumni can embrace that culture.
HBCU culture has always been the belief that all HBCU institutions - whether public or private - face similar innate challenges and thus are all part of the same family. We have rivalries and compete with one another, but our ultimate mission has always been united.
But of course you already know that. I am sure you are just being obtuse here.

If someone said that we should rejoin the MEAC because we’re missing out on “HBCU culture” I would question what that meant. But that goes back to everyone having a different opinion on what “HBCU culture” means.. I personally immediately think SWAC.
