Everything is fluid in conference alignments and Covid has only quickened things. This wave of consolidations could work to our advantage if we are on top of our game.
I know most of you are going to scoff at this but is now the time to move to fbs if we can secure a conference invite? We'd take a beating for a few years but it may be doable? Sometimes you have to make moves when the opportunity presents itself vs waiting till everything is in place.

That's a quick move from Conference to the next had been in plains for while Howard will follow ..its really time for major HBCU to form a Super Conference with the Deon Effect an While the Iron is Hot Now The Tide is on Our Side the Orange would be Worth Squeeze or to the FBS.Aggies Athletics are almost like a Camel without a Hump soon.

If this happens, they'll have 11 football-playing schools. I am starting to think that 1 of 3 things will happen: 1. Big South "drops" football and for football only, we're in the A-Sun. 2. All Sports return to the MEAC. 3. A&T is invited to join the SoCon, giving them 12 football schools in 2 divisions as UNCG doesn't have football. This is if and only if those "southern" CAA schools in the picture move to the SoCon. I don't think any MEAC program will be invited by the Big South at this point. However, the MEAC's only issue will remain to be Baseball. |

I definitely dont want to be in any conference with the Citadel. That school was founded for the sole purpose of stopping slaves from revolting.

Makes NCCU coming to Big South more realistic. The Big South finds itself in a most familiar situation..Not enough football teams for playoff contention. This move gets better and better. For some reason I just don't think NCCU will move to the Big South until they are forced by the MEAC collapsing. They don't seem to be very aggressive when it comes to sports. As for the Big South, I don't think they are panicking yet. |
