EDITCherry (44.2) Norman (44.0) Deadmon (44.01) Benjamin (43.40) 2:55.70 I personally think they ran the right people. Maybe Norman was a tossup, but overall they got it right. Young Ross could have given them a 43.XX, we will never know. |

SEC coach... Deadmon is SEC athlete ... SEC POLITICS .. No problem with Benjamin... But Deadmon has never beaten Ross or Stewart... Both would have given you same split... Saying he was picked because he had fastest split in semi finals ignores Stewart being the starter.

I think that the mistake between Ross and Stewart on there exchange and the fact that they are both young Could have had something to do with the change . But changing out runners is nothing new in the finals. The point is Ross & Stewart helped get the USA to the finals and they are coming home with a Gold Medal . Aggie Pride . |

To be fair... these were the splits from the semifinal heat from Friday.
Based on this... it's tough to argue today's lineup for the final.
7 young black men won gold medals on this event, including 2 of our very own. At the end of the day... can't be too mad at that.

Had a feeling they would get Norman in the mix because of his Japan ties and it was his last opportunity to get a medal. Never thought they would bump both of our guys though. Hard to argue when you walk away with Gold.
Love to hear Coach Ross take on it. Obviously caught him off guard too!

Black people always run fast and jump high, only reason why a lot of black men are at ACC and sec, pac 12 schools. Again deadmon has never beaten Ross, Ross’ split is slower because he actually ran further than deadman. |
