At this point the time shouldn't even matter for our program for how long we've been out. I suspect a lot of cramping going on by the 3rd quarter as expected, so the team with best depth will show their head in this game. Can't wait! Well they better fuel up on water and electrolytes all week then

This is where our hires from James Madison and Angelo State will hopefully pay off dividends. One common theme I've heard from players is that the summer workouts and Fall Camp were "hard."

All the training in the world can't prevent cramping and fatigue during live ball in the first few games of the year, it's inevitable. It's about recovery and quality depth to rotate guys in and out to keep us running at full tilt. But I have no doubt in our team and staff that we will be prepared. It's been way too long not to be.

In that regard, cramps can pop up at any time (see the 2019 FAMU debacle as an example). I do think the risk will be overstated just a little bit.

Those that live and train in hot/humid environments don't seem to be impacted as much as those that don't live and train in those environments. I don't believe FAMU had nearly the issues we had in 2019. It was VERY humid. I drank several bottles of water and was still very thirsty. We also had cramping issues, in that humid environment, against Jax St in 2018.

Still haven't finalized my travel plans. Now the wife just walked in and said she and the kids might want to go to the game after all.
Stay tuned.

Re: NC A&T - Sept. 4
#42474 by Furmanoid Tue Aug 31, 2021 9:39 am There’s a reason he’s at NC A&T. He’s probably either not very fast or not very good at catching. Or he may not be able to remember his routes. If he was all that he’d be at NC State or at least ECU.

Maybe I need to leave sooner on Friday FYI Clemson plays Georgia in Charlotte, not Clemson, Saturday at 7:30. Most of the CU/Ga traffic will be headng north on I-85 so if you are coming south you should be ok. I doubt the Duke/Charlotte game will have any impact on traffic, lol. I would try to get thru Charlotte either before or after rush hour Friday pm. Its always a mess. Another FYI traffic always backs up coming into Greenville between 4-6, usually backs up 5-6 miles before I-385.
