careful, this thread is about "the jah question", not track. that's a derailment according to the powers that be, can't change subjects. you'll need to create a thread on "football players running track" to address this since this thread is about "the jah question" which has nothing to do with track... at OSA....Happy New Year's! Where's my stimulus check? See I just changed the subject..... lol, groove! happy new year's to you too! and regarding your stimulus check? ya boy mitch mcconnell "the grim reaper" pretty much single-handily shut down the $2k stimulus checks. hopefully our folk in georgia can bring an end to his crap...

Thanks, OSA!
Concerning Martin, do you this COVID fall ball has hurt his chances of being drafted this spring? I had a feeling that a monster year was in the making fir him....my two cents

Just hope that the Jasons Whitlocks don't muddy the waters with the character rants.

Trust me as the NFL knows about Jah Martin they also know about Jason Whitlock with most of the league having total distain for anything that comes out of Whitlocks mouth or anything that he writes. I don't see why folks give Whitlock so much status dude is a tabloid writer, should be working for the National Enquirer anyway.

Thanks, OSA! Concerning Martin, do you this COVID fall ball has hurt his chances of being drafted this spring? I had a feeling that a monster year was in the making fir him....my two cents groove, i honestly don't know the answer to that question. but i do know that nowadays rb's come a dime a dozen, the nfl no longer places a "premium value" on rb's anymore unless they can do more than just run the football. being able to run the ball "alone" is no longer good enough for nfl scouts anymore because the nfl game has changed. the nfl game is now predominantly a "passing league", the days of "3 yards and a cloud of dust" are long gone. so unless an nfl rb prospect sets himself apart by his "pass catching and pass blocking" ability, they're not valued as much by the nfl as they used to be. that's why cohen got drafted and has been successful in the league because he's a major threat to catch the football out of the backfield or from the slot, plus he's "versatile" enough to return punts and kicks. i don't think it would hurt jah's nfl draft stock if he puts some "pass catching" ability on film this spring because he's probably not gonna return punts or kicks at the next level...

Has he ever been used returning kicks ? He has the speed and vision . I still wouldn't play in that 4 game season . If anything he should take advantage of that extra year of eligibility .

I was just asking because all of your top 3 RB's are returning kicks and punts. The kid from Clemson Alabama and Ohio State all participated in the return game . And I agree whit what you said that he needs to show more diversity and his skill set because he will have to return kicks in the show so why not start now . Remember we didn't know that The Kid could return kicks either until he broke that kick off in the CB .

I think the bigger question isn't about the bowl game invite, but a potential NFL Combine invite.
As of now, the 2021 NFL Combine is scheduled for February 2021. As we have heard from players like Bam Johnson, Tarik Cohen, and Elijah Bell, training for the combine is vastly different than preparing for a football season.
We shouldn't be concerned about an invite to a game that probably won't even be played, but definitely concerned if Mr. Martin gets an invite to the NFL Combine which is scheduled during our four game regular season.
The FCS postponing their season to spring looms to have some adverse effects on some elite players decision to potentially opt out in preparation for the NFL.
Anxiously waiting...

I'm saying, what if they do receive a combine invite, they would probably need to concentrate solely on combine preparation.

You also have to factor in pro days prior to the draft. He and other seniors need to start training in January and February for the A&T pro days. Training for pro days is just like training for the combine... if he wants to play pro ball next year he doesn’t need to play this spring, his focus should be on preparing for the NFL.
He can’t do both effectively.

If Martin decides to press the button there should be a pro day, not like a pro day requires complicated planning. You need a track, football field, weight room, cones and a QB...not much to it. Furthermore he could always participate in wake forest pro day.
