Do we have any transfers sitting out this season? According to ESPN, the NCAA is about to change transfer eligibility rules such that transfers can become immediately eligible in a few days for this season.

We must clearly play the toughest schedule in the country. It seems after every loss we just played one of the better teams on our schedule.
To me it seems as if our opponents come in with a game plan to attack something they saw on film they felt would be to their advantage. Like tonight, obviously 2 & 4 were their legit shooters, and against our man they went dribble drive to their shooters side of floor and forced the help defense to come, resulting in open 3 pt attempts. This is where we have to better in our man if our guards can't stay in front then shooters will continue to be open.
Speaking of defense, I understand wanting to defend a player to a certain side, thats fine. What I don't quite comprehend is why do you play so much to one side that your now not even between the offensive player and goal. We essentially provide a straight line for their guards to get to rim and they did. It wasn't as if we were funneling them into a double or trap just a pathway to easy layups, interesting.
Final seconds just goes back to one my previous posts about basketball 101, boxing out, which is all about effort. That is really just unacceptable. Their has got to be one energy guy on this roster, seems like Gilmore could maybe fill that role, sole purpose of being on the floor is to consume rebounds and defend like mad man.
Basketballs should not be hitting the ground on shot attempts, on either end of floor. During practice maybe institute a system that anytime a rebound hits the ground, everybody on the line. Something has to get home to get these guys to return.
Last but not least...

Tyrone Lyons made up his mind that he does not have to rebound. Not sure where he got that idea from.

D The problem why does it seem like Jones is going out of his way to hamper or even destroy Harry's confidence or am I just seeing things ? Bigs learn differently then other positions Bigs learn by being on the floor That how they know how to physically position their body and cut off angles things that people don't see and can't be learned from setting on there Bum . Bigs are hands on Blue Collar players that can't be developed from the bench . It not just Harry either Greer the 7 footer needs floor time, hale that's how Phil Jackson played when he was with the Knicks he learned OJT . Look I'm not harping just to put down Jones by with his coaching style right both Harry and Greer's development is being stunned. If Harry was in foul trouble or close to it Greer should have been on the floor even if all he did was bang on the WC player and who knows what could have been . This type of coaching is just inappropriate and WANTING and I was a Jones fan but no more dude just can't cut it at this level . Did you watch the game? I love the love for Harry here, just wish there was 1% of this from the coaching staff. Harry’s D in the 2nd half was poor but not one coach sat with him to say what they wanted from him. Leaving a player on the bench with no feedback is not coaching. How many ****ing coaches does this team have btw. I thought web played a great game and he and Harry could have filled the paint. Duling again played 20+ minutes for 2pts. Yet another opportunity to win lost by inept coaching.

I do think the lack of experience from our assistant coaches is a major issue.
Jones is pretty much learning on the job and there is no one on the staff to really help him. Especially when it comes to the big men.
During one time out it actually looked like Sam Hunt was drawing up a play. That is a scary sight.

One of the best Coaches my daughter ever had at the high school level took her out of a game. The other team was running a high post offense with two girls over 6 feet. My daughters a point guard but he wanted her fill the gap at the free throw line to bust up the flow of the down screen cutter. She was not getting it and was trying to guard one of the post players 1 on 1 . Coach Jones took her out the game explained to her what he wanted her to do she never took a seat while he explained and Coached the team at the same time. Coach Jones needed her in there for offense so he made the adjustment on the fly. Coaching is not easy but you have to able to multi-task or have assistants that fill that role. It’s 3 other coaches sitting on that bench. What are they all doing tracking timeouts and fouls

At best we are a 5th place team. Top 3 WCA, What do you see? I so much want to believe but coach is depending on an unsustainable dynamic for this team. In order to win, this team as presently managed has to shoot >40% from 3-point range AND >70% from the free throw line in order to be competitive. I don't see it. Without changing strategy I only see one path the year: NCCU, FAMU, Coppin, Morgan and SCSU are less than advertised. Convince me of one of two things: 1)that the team will meet those shooting numbers or 2)Coach will add an inside game to his portfolio. As of today, I'm honestly struggling to see it.

The in-game feedback has been a challenge all season across the college games from what I've watched due to the COVID-19 alignments and seat spacing. But it is a valid point of suggestion that this needs to be improved. Maybe have Coach Shumpert sitting with the bigs, etc.

Coach gave every player on his roster a shot at playing against the best players in the country. Now, he can set a rotation and justify to each player why they are playing or not. Hopefully, they realize that they need each other to win.
