Seems like some posters on our site are jealous of Prime Time and the publicity Jackson State is getting.
Prejudging his actions without knowing the final outcome is not fair. Wait and see the final product before downing the man.

Somebody in the JSU athletic department spends hundreds of dollars to create artistic renderings of new football facilities.
First thing out of Sanders' mouth: "That aint what it's gone look like."

I ain't mad. He's basically telling them what they need to have in place to have a top notch program (and not continue to be behind us and others).
To me it's not much different than Coach Broadway saying that we would get whatever level of program we were willing to pay for. It's the truth. Coach Subway Hottub is saying he wants them to aim for better. At least that's what I got out of it.

You think Coach Prime will to drop 50 on AL St next time? "Childish ... They know they messed up." Deion Sanders was PISSED after his opponent trolled him after beating his Jackson St. football squad over the weekend ... slamming Alabama St. officials in a scorched earth rant. Article

I distinctly remember coach Broadway stating several times that he knew A&T had issues ,but if he had known the totality of the issues he might not have taken the job . I'm sure he had some serious conversations behind closed doors ,he seems like the same kind of person that I am,I'm fluent in English and profanity ,but he never bashed the administration or school publicly to the media .

That was the Aggie Livewires who executed the 07 HamGate game (facilitated by yours truly).
However it's much different when the actual athletic department partakes in the trolling.
I believe ASU should receive a fine from the SWAC office for that stunt.

That's beyond hilarious, but I see both sides. He's right in saying it's not about him and to put his picture up on the big screen is really out of bounds and ridiculous. On the other hand, he's made a career out of making himself larger than life and therefore made himself a target. I ain't mad. He's basically telling them what they need to have in place to have a top notch program (and not continue to be behind us and others). To me it's not much different than Coach Broadway saying that we would get whatever level of program we were willing to pay for. It's the truth. That is what professionals do Do you believe Broadway was unprofessional when he stated that we would have the level of program we'd be willing to pay for? When he said it I was pissed at first, but after a minute I shrugged my shoulders because he was right. Ultimately what did his words get us? THREE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (or was it four, I lost count). In case you missed "cramp-gate"... bluedeathvalley.proboards.com/thread/7492/aggies-first-weekly-press-conferencebluedeathvalley.proboards.com/thread/7500/broadway-training-staff-team-doctersWas Broadway unprofessional in the above situation? He called out his own trainers. Likewise, JSU can go with the old, tired mock ups they've probably had sitting around for 25-30 years that never got off the ground and continue to be mired in mediocrity and below, or can aim to be above even the greatest days in their storied history. I don't like a big mouthed individual too much, but I see what Hottub is doing here. It's like the next level of Alvin Wyatt. I was expecting complete crap at first, but the guy is turning out to be a real boost to JSU imo.

Well, that's the thing with Deion Sanders, when they lose and the school trolls him, it's not about him. But, any other time it's about him and what he's gonna do so. I say it's Bush League but, I wouldn't expect anything less in the SWAC. And if he think that is bad, he better be prepared when he goes home to Tally.

Coach: “shoe” comment not for Deion Sanders, JSUAlabama State head coach Dr. Donald Hill-Ely raised eyebrows with his statement after handing Deion Sanders his first loss at Jackson State. By Steven J. Gaither Posted on March 22, 2021 There has been a lot of smoke coming out of Montgomery, Alabama since Alabama State handed Jackson State its first loss under Deion Sanders. There was the vintage image of Deion Sanders used on the video board of ASU Stadium. And then there were comments from Dr. Donald Hill-Ely, ASU’s coach at the end of his presser that re-ignited fumes on Sunday via social media. “You hear all the hype that was coming out of Jackson,” he said. “We’re just this little small school in Montgomery, we don’t know how to coach in black college and — as I told the players — once they get back to Jackson, let them soak in some Epson salt and send me my shoe back.” When asked about the comment on Monday, Hill-Ely talked specifically his comment on coaching about coaching. He said the comments had nothing to do with Deion Sanders or the Jackson State team. Instead, he said, they were brought on by a heckler outside his own stadium during the team’s customary “Hornet Walk.” “We had a couple of JSU fans heckling us. We don’t have all the security that everybody else has. And, you know, the person was just ‘aww, you guys at HBCUs can’t coach. They can’t coach, they can’t do this…They can’t do that. You guys don’t know how to do that…so that wasn’t intended for Coach Sanders. That was intended for that fan to go take our shoe out his rear end.” Hill-Eley said he told the players throughout the week that he didn’t want to get involved in a war of words. But he felt what was said was disrespectful and that fans can sometimes go across the line. “We were men before I was a coach. I was a man before I was a doctor. And I’m still going to be a man even after all those things. I just don’t take a lot of bull. So I wanted to let that person to know, the fact is, for THEM to go back to Jackson.”... hbcugameday.com

I believe ASU should receive a fine from the SWAC office for that stunt. For what? I kinda like it. Just as much as I enjoyed the Pig. It's just HBCU flava and intensifies the rivalry. Don't all of a sudden become a bastion of political correctness just because white folks are looking.

Don't all of a sudden become a bastion of political correctness just because white folks are looking. When has an HBCU athletic department ever publicly mocked an opposing coach after a game? This was unprecedented. There is no racial monopoly on professionalism and sportsmanship. Adults should behave better.
