He's gotta be ready to put in a ton of work. Just having a big name and pretty smile is not gonna bring that program back to its heyday.

It's got a good chance simply from the fundrainsing perspective.
He's got his degree from Talledega. If he makes the right coordinator/staff hires, this could be a game-changer.
I think it's a great move overall given JSU's current position.

Does JSU have a new president yet, or do they still have the interim?

Wasn't he openly campaigning for the Florida State job a few years ago?
I guess they told him to come back when he had some coaching experience.

What if he got on staff people like Ed Reed and Pac Man jones. I know they have expressed interest in coaching as well. I am not sure who he would have on the offensive side of the ball. This could be a good thing or in the next two years they would all be fired because they couldn't win enough games as its been going the past 7-8 years down there.

The SWAC needs a strong Jackson State. Don't think that would be the best hire but don't know who else applied. ... Go for it Tigers🏈

how many former "star" nfl players have been successful as hbcu head coaches? i can't think of any except doug williams during his first go round but not the 2nd go round. to me, there's gotta be more to it than "star power"...

Deion will bring in recruits but this will be about Xs and Os. He is a HS O coordinator. How will he gameplan. Run a program. Keep kids eligible
