Why is the game between unc-c and unc-ch cancelled this Saturday? Is Covid-19 the culprit? The UNC game was cancelled because (1) player for Charlotte tested positive for COVID. Because he was an offensive linemen all the the other linemen in his group had to be immediately quarantined for 14 days as a part of contact tracing. This left Charlotte unable to safely play the game this weekend because they didn't have enough people to play that position. Actually, this is a prefect example of the safety protocols working. The health of the student athletes for both schools was given the highest priority and playing the actual game was secondary. Moving forward, all of these players will now be more incentivized to stay diligent with following their social distancing guidelines to prevent this from happening again and not let down their teammates.

Thrilla, you throw out comparisons between athletes and everyday ordinary people which is somewhat unfair. Because, you talk about one contracting the virus in the grocery store before a football player would/could. Well, to me the difference is the ordinary person HAS to eat. Saying someone can catch the virus by carrying out the necessities of life is not a true comparison because, our student-athletes don't HAVE to play, it's not a bare necessity. Why is the game between unc-c and unc-ch cancelled this Saturday? Is Covid-19 the culprit? I don't know for sure but, I assume so...

This reminds me of an episode from The Wire called "Juking the Stats." Baltimore police essentially "cooking the books," changing the data, shifting the narrative so it fits their argument. Police do it. Politicians do it. And if you think for a second that the folks who want to keep their billion dollar industries running in spite of massive human casualties (with no end in sight) won't do it too, then you're a pawn on their board. Don't be a pawn. Freeze, you do understand that the medical advisor at Penn State was literally juking the stats about myocarditis in college football to help shift a narrative. The dude gave out some phony numbers, got caught and was forced to apologize. Is that an example of cooking the books?

This is Jerry Sandusky/Joe Paterno/"Cover-Up U" Penn State that we are talking about here. They are not exactly the Cradle of Credibility, you know.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out years down-the-road that PSU had real bullets in that gun to Dr. Sebastianelli's head when he was highly-encouraged to revise his statements. LOL!!

Once again, more maturity and rationality from the Legion of Gloom. SMH.
The doctor himself went on record and said that he had his information wrong. But because you guys still want to us his bogus numbers for your talking points, you now insist that he was forced to lie.
It's sad really.

What's crazy is that you increasingly are siding with folks on the right of the political aisle who are ignoring the science and the numbers. You watch a lot of Fox News Thrilla? But I hear ya....let's get our athletes out there in the middle of a pandemic that is just about to hit its second phase and play football. That sounds smart.

See?? I was gonna bring up Trump/FOX News/Alt Right, but I held back. LOL! I mean...I'm not here to disparage anybody's personal political views...but anybody who echos arguments being pushed by folks who do not care about the welfare of Black folks gets the HARD side eye from me. My man on here talking about "freedom" and inventing excuses to ignore science...what does that really say?? Anyway...let's play football.

So just like a Trump supporter, you are confronted with clear facts that contradict your previous statement ... and your only response is to move on to another topic. lol.
We are talking about a doctor who caused national hysteria by saying that college football was too dangerous because 35 percent of players developed heart issues... and not even one week later, he had to walk everything back.
He had to admit that his numbers were bogus.
That is called juking the stats to shift the narrative, my friend.

It's crazy because, as soon as the numbers decline for a week or two the "Right" claims victory but, yet they have no plan. The numbers fluctuate depending on geography and density. Their plan is it will go away...what's sad is how many people believe that nonsense. That's why they are on the football field because, they either believe they cannot get infected OR it's just going to go away. That's "45's" plan for the pandemic, it will go away...WOW! And we have folks here drinking from the same pitcher of coolaid.

Make sure you keep that same energy when its December and we are approaching 300k deaths in America and the pandemic worsens and we remember that you were leading the charge as a super fan to see our players take the field in the midst of all this. "Ugly risks" huh Thrilla? Ugly risks indeed.

So what is your plan? The only thing I have heard from you guys is to lock yourself in a closet until things suddenly get better.
Ok, let's say we shut down all college sports and close down all school campuses right now. We listen to Freeze and just pull the plug on everything.
Tell me when would you guys feel comfortable opening things back up:

The plan is/was supposed to come from the top medical professionals. But, now, our president has undermined the professional that don't agree with his position because, he is so gung-ho on re-opening. But, we all saw what happened over the two holidays this summer because, he wanted to rush a re-opening process. He is still doing this b.s. and "WE" act like we are too blind to see it. Because, the billion dollar industry of college football has taken a hit he has to try to salvage whatever he can, but yet "WE" are too blind to see. You cannot have a conversation about college football without bringing in politics because, that's exactly what is driving it...POLITICS. I feel like Lawerence Fishburne (DAP) on School Daze....WAKE UP!!!!

You're not answering the question. It is well established that Trump is a corrupt, racist idiot. There is no disagreement on my end.
However, I am asking YOU when YOU would personally feel comfortable opening things back up again.
You guys want to close everything down in the name of safety. That is your only plan. When exactly will it be OK to open things back up.
Pick a date.
