I agree. That’s just COMMON SENSE. There are no reasons not to play football. but that's a totally different discussion. i'm only addressing covid-19, not weather conditions...

I’ve already agreed with both of you.
Why should we even hesitate to play football due to weather conditions?? The players already have safety equipment.
Going off of what both of you stated to me in earlier posts, CAN YOU GIVE ME ONE INSTANCE OF A FOOTBALL PLAYER DYING AFTER BEING STRUCK BY LIGHTNING DURING A GAME...OR DROWNING FROM A FLASH FLOOD DURING A GAME...OR DYING FROM WIND DURING A GAME??
Pulling players off-the- field for weather is ALSO reacting to an element of fear, which you’ve stated was cowardice in the case of COVID-19.

But people ARE getting pulled off the field for COVID. Games are getting cancelled / postponed.
Schools are making the necessary adjustments to COVID and the season goes on.
However You, Freeze, WestCoastAggie and Ed Hardin are making an argument that schools shouldn't even have the opportunity to make those adjustments. Yall just wanted the season to be cancelled completely.

If you want to change the narrative much like the gentleman that lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. you can. What's wrong with knowing for sure that it is safe to play? Why put student-athletes at risk, not fully understanding what all the risks are? No one truly knows, and the black student-athlete should be outraged understanding that blacks are dying at double the rate of any other race from the virus. What's most disappointing is that the answer/solution to this is very, very simple...a demonstration of a little more patience. But, we just have to have football or the world will stop spinning on its axis, what a shame.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron: 'Most' of team has contracted coronavirusAlex Scarborough ESPN Staff Writer SEPTEMBER 15, 2020 1:03 PM
LSU football coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday that most of his team has contracted COVID-19.
"Not all of our players, but most of our players have caught it," Orgeron told reporters. "I think that hopefully they won't catch it again, and hopefully they're not out for games."
Asked later for further clarification, Orgeron said he didn't know the exact percentage of players who have had the coronavirus.
"Hopefully that once you catch it, you don't get it again," he said. "I'm not a doctor. I think they have that 90-day window, so most of the players that have caught it, we do feel like they'll be eligible for games."
Per SEC protocols, players who have contracted COVID-19 don't have to be tested again for 90 days.
LSU, like many programs in the SEC and nationally, has not provided regular reports on the number of players who have contracted the novel coronavirus.
Two weeks ago, Orgeron said all but two or three offensive linemen missed practice because of testing.
"You have to make adjustments," he said.
Orgeron's comments come on the heels of Texas Tech self-reporting five more cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the team's total number of positive cases to 75 since players returned to campus in June.
Orgeron also reported that reserve defensive lineman Nelson Jenkins has opted out and is not with the football team, adding that it has been at least two weeks since coach and player have spoken.
Another defensive lineman, Neil Farrell Jr., opted back into the season this week, and Orgeron said he has been hearing rumblings that defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin might be considering a return as well.
Shelvin, a possible first-round pick in the NFL draft, opted out last month.
"We'd take him back, and we want him back," Orgeron said. "If he doesn't come back, then we wish him the best. If not, like any member of our family, we'll take him back."
LSU, which also lost wideout Ja'Marr Chase and defensive back Kary Vincent to opt-outs, opens the season at home against Mississippi State on Sept. 26.

Americans have rights!! Let them play!!
And let the fans in...no cap on ticket sales, sell every available seat, no masks allowed and absolutely no social distancing.
Tee it up, PAC-12!!

But I thought you are already stated that I was being "disgusting, selfish, and reprehensible" because I advocated for football to be played this fall. You mean, I am now in danger of being considered worse than that? Oh, heavens no. lol. BTW: Plenty of pundits like yourself declared that football could not be played. One of those was the main sports columnists here in Greensboro: . So please stop being so emotional, refrain from all the nasty name calling and just look at the available science. Put your ego aside and trust the medical experts. I ain't a pundit....but keep cooking homie.

The Medical experts in the Big 10 changed their tune. The Big 10 will be playing this fall.
I wonder what A&T is gonna do?

There is still time to play this fall. Especially if all the pundits put their egos aside and just follow the science.
The A&T football team and cheerleaders are getting ready as we speak.

I don't think most other MEAC schools are doing much aside from FAMU. What's interesting is that no MEAC school announced a Spring Football schedule. Something in that Spring Football milk isn't clean.

So Westcoast, let me ask you: what side are you on this week?
Are you still a card-carrying member of the Legion of Gloom ... or do you now want A&T to play this fall.
Which one?

I don't care anymore personally. I just hear things that not all current MEAC schools want to play in the spring yet it might be too late to play any games in the Fall.
