Does this Yeager kid have some link to Greensboro or to NC? Minneapolis is a very, very long way away.

Tennessee State, Alcorn, and Arkansas Pine Bluff are also on his list and all are closer to Minneapolis. How we just gonna ignore that? If his auntie 'n 'em live in High Point or something that makes it more likely (and I'm assuming that's the scenario or else why even offer a kid that far away). I'm just wondering what the link is. If there is no link, in my mind there is no reason for him to drive past three hbcus that offered him to go to the one that's furthest away from his home just because it's an hbcu and he's from Minneapolis and BLM.

These Black kids are looking for that right now and we need to wear our history on our sleeve and successfully market it. I attend church at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta and during EVERY service they publicly state that "we are America's freedom church." By that same design, we are THE launching point for the modern civil rights movement. If these kids want to be at a school where Black Lives Matter well.....there is no better place. Brand that and sell it.

Let’s be honest with ourselves, TSU, APB and Alcorn are not known for academics. Kids want a school with great academics and athletics...those schools are not that. For this academic year the chancellor highlighted that A&T hired 23 faculty with degrees from R1 universities. A&T is trying to become the first R1 HBCU and all the prestige that comes with that.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CD1MuejhQ-z This guy gets it....so much so that Diddy put him on Revolt TV where millions could see it. That's NCCU doing that. Where is A&T? Moton is HOT right now and pulling all the right levers. Don't be surprised if it pays off big time for them on the recruiting trail.

I just saw his top three. It's us, South Dakota State, and Butler Community College in Kansas. That's a rather dissimilar crop of choices. At least if it comes down to "BLM" we're the only choice. If he's got a community college in his top three, he's more interested in getting a better offer than he is academics.

I don’t know how or why we landed in his top-3 but Zach fits our system rather nicely.

Come on now you cannot be serious in regards to those schools academics! It is insulting and outright an asinine view and an insult to those schools' integrity.

Facts are facts... your sensitivity is asinine and total disregard for facts is too. Where did i insult their academics? Facts are A&T is a far better school in academics and athletics

You probably didn’t mean it as an insult, but if somebody says you’re not known for something, it’s an insult.

We've never had this many early commitments to our program but as predicted earlier that was perhaps to be expected given that Covid-19 is forcing recruits to take a more serious look at their serious early offers instead of waiting and hoping to hold court with a possible late FBS suitor after Christmas. 2021 was going to be big HS class anyway because of the unusually large number of FBS transfers (8) in this past year's recruiting class. I expect us top out somewhere between 18-21 recruits. where it get complicated if we suppose to lose 18 senior post spring 2021. Given the fact the NCAA is given the seniors a year back for fall 2021 . We still only allotted 63 scholarship. How is that going to work. Even if the NCAA allow us to have more the 63 scholarship because of this pandemic year can we afford in our budget to have this many kids on scholarship. This is what VA Finest and I had the disagreement. If we have 63 plus kids on scholarship. We may be force to play in the spring just to make up this huge deficient cost in the falls. Seniors will not count in the 63. The scholarship limit is extended by the number of seniors you have. NCAA will give some financial assistance as it did for baseball and track seniors.

Trying to build a basketball team. Moton is going into his 10th year and has built the gravitas to speak out in that way. Will Jones is in his 1st year, he's about basketball right now. Know that Moton's commentary will help other schools also.
