If we only played a conference schedule this year I wouldn’t shed a tear. I wasn’t excited about NDSU or Liberty. You hate to mis out on the revenue, but the team selection was horrible. Why? I don’t understand your reasoning.... I think he just wants to play hbcu's.

Understand, but my post isn’t directed at minimizing the impact of COVID-19. My point is simply, if there is no NDSU game, then there is no 2020 season. If we aren’t back to normal in 8 WEEKS, we will have a new normal. Even if there is a 2020 season the after effects could still be devastating for college athletics, especially hbcu's. The previous employment reasons you listed along with reduced ncaa revenue may have a big impact on already strained budgets. The move to the BSC is looking better and better.

Honestly, at this stage of the season, I hope we don't end up playing NDSU this season. Hey if we are going to play the nation's top FCS team, I want lots of time to prepare... spring ball, lots of hours in the weight room, time together reviewing game film and planning game strategy. With all the school closings and other disruptions, we will not be ready to play our best against NDSU. And before you say they are disrupted too... I don't care. When you are the "challenger" you better bring your "A" game. When this coronavirus crisis is over, I don't think that will happen for us.
I hate to miss the revenue and the national attention but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take down the #1 team on national TV and I don't want to blow it.

I really did not like the deal with NDSU it should had been a Home and Home get them down South in late August or September in the Heat and see what type of true Heart they have.

If we even get to take the shot, it has to be on-target and a TKO blow. I can't underestimate what a win would do for our reputation and the image of all HBCUs.

Why? I don’t understand your reasoning.... I think he just wants to play hbcu's. I would rather play HBCUs, but that horse has left the barn. That said, there are much more attractive OOC conference opponents. Traveling to North Dakota of all places does not excite me at all. I’d rather play a regional PWI. We gonna have to schedule FBS money games...that’s a common practice for FCS schools. That said Liberty of all schools is enough to make any self respecting HBCU fan say Damn!

We are going to have to be very smart with our OOC scheduling in the years to come. You want to put yourself in a position to make the playoffs, but not turn off your fans.
Playing a BS schedule is bad enough. Without the right mix of HBCUs and regional schools I have some serious concerns about our attendance.
Black College Football is unique and anyone that ignores that is fooling themselves. There is a cultural element for sure. I don’t want A&T to be the next Tenn State.

Why? I don’t understand your reasoning.... I think he just wants to play hbcu's. No he's getting COLD FEET LOL. After all of this clamoring about playing the best it's to late now to get Cold FEET . Using this virus as a cover give way to all kind of excuses for not wanting to playing NDSU or Liberty but mostly North Dakota State .

Don't you think that it is a little late to get Cold FEET lol. Personally I'm looking forward the competition between A&T and NDSU. As the saying goes " Be careful with you wish-fore because it may just come true" .

You got me all mess up with this whole "clamoring" to play the best stuff. I'm not sure where you got that from. We play who's on the schedule...I'm just saying I never liked the schedule, and moving forward as a program we are going to have to be very careful about what our schedule looks like. That's not "Cold Feet", that's just common sense.

What I should have said is " The ones that have been Clamoring for that game " . Yes I agree with you on the scheduling.

We are the National Black Champions in football and have been so for 4 of last 5 years.
We supposedly have one of the best programs in America in our classification.
We have great coaches, facilities,an administration that supports our football program and a tremendous fan base.
I understand the concerns that our Spring practices were disruptive and shut down. Everyone else programs were shut down also.
It seems as if a few of our "loyal" fans did not or do not have confidence in our football program. If they had or have confidence in our program they would not be complaining in fear about ND and Liberty being on our schedule.
Either you are with us or a pretender of having faith in our football program. I want to play both teams and I don't give a damn if we ain't had but 1 pre season practice.
You gotta "keep the faith" as Congressman Adam Clayton Powell told me personally and thousands of other people.

What I am saying is to beat NDSU we will have to bring our best game and all these distractions are reducing that possibility. If they call off this shutdown and say fall practice starts in July, I worry we will not have enough time to get ready. In the first Ali vs. Frazier fight, I'm convinced that Ali was the better fighter but he was rusty because of his imposed layoff. And Frazier won. I know our coaches and players can beat NDSU but they need to be able to put in the time and work to make it happen.
