I remember this kid now.
The only Dudley game I saw this year was their playoff loss at SE Guilford. Dudley's secondary got torched in the 2nd half by SE's QB once they adjusted and moved him & their run game away from #55 that got offered by Alabama as a sophomore. That included Monroe.
Monroe also sustained a leg injury in the 4th quarter of that game. Could be why the action on him is slower than maybe anticipated.
Not saying that Monroe isn't going to be good at FCS-level. But I'd pump the brakes & let our coaches do their full due diligence.

How many of those second half passes were completed against Monroe? There were at least 2 where he lost leverage and got beat. The QB got 4-5 chunk plays in the 2nd half that shifted monentum in the game. Monroe comes up in run support on one clip in that SE Guilford game on his Hudl clip... 2 tackles and a PBU from the 1st half. None from the 2nd half, though.... LOL!!! The injury is likely the main concern for recruiting purposes.

... however, for some reason we have not offered him a scholarship yet? The kid's name is Richard Monroe IV, he played at Dudley and he has the prototypical size and speed you want in a defensive back. Actually, he could probably play either corner or free safety in our system. www.hudl.com/v/2ABjxaSix foot 2, 180 pounds, first team all state, 3 stars ... he has all the attributes and accolades you want. Plus, I have talked to sources close to his family and they say that the kid WANTS to stay home and play for A&T. It sounds like a no-brainer and it is a no-brainer. Not really sure what the coaches are doing right now, but they need to stop all the pump faking and get this kid locked up ... immediately. I like the kid but lets clear up a few things. 1. He's not all state. Not 1st team anyway. He's not listed here in this article from the AP www.greensboro.com/sports/hsxtra/football/three-hsxtra-com-all-area-football-players-named-ap-all/article_7f1b6b8e-105c-11e9-ac85-0bba206cabe9.htmlwww.charlotteobserver.com/sports/high-school/article223941020.html2. He's not the best DB in the State, Hell he's not the best DB in the county. Best DB in the state is Tyus Fields, Cornelius Hough, Sr. 5'10 / 191 , 4 star headed to Tennessee Best DB in the county is Jakobe Harris, Southwest Guilford, Sr.;

First team all state ... but nowhere close to being the best DB in North Carolina? OK. You are just biased because you are a Smith grad. He's not on any list. 3 kids from the Triad made all State, Monroe isn't on any of them. Again i like the kid, but no need to make up stats

Your on rivals. I posted the AP team. The Associated Press. Same people who pick Mr NC Football.
Notice how the Greensboro paper has no story on him being 1st team anything. But ok lol

I showed you 1st team Rivals, 2nd team USA Today and 1st team Bornthrilla Recruiting Services.
You take the aggregate of all three of those and you get the best DB in North Carolina.
Numbers dont lie.

We all know your eye for talent. I'm still looking in the A&T media guide for all the stats "The Future" put up lol Man, I was waiting for someone else to say this. Thrilla's eye for talent is like a chicken's ability to fly. he can get off the ground a little bit, but never really take flight. Again, I like the kid, but pump the brakes on this best CB in the state stuff.
