The only D2 that is gonna sellout Aggie Stadium is WSSU. Selling out the stadium for one single game is overrated. I would rather create a block of up to 5,000 $15 tickets for every game that could be purchased in advance similar to what we did with the ECU game with a cutoff date of one week before the game. Promote the $15 ticket to community groups for every home game except Homecoming and NCCU. We have to engage the community to create an ongoing local fan. Having an affordable ticket available does that. I agree...and have been saying that for a while now.
With where our program is right now, it’s a doggone shame that:
1) We are in the Top Five in FCS Attendance, and...
2) We don’t have at least 2 games completely sold out every season; along with GHOE, NCCU, SCSU & FAMU/NSU/Howard should always be sold out (or very close to being sold out) by gameday;

ya'll can say what you want, but i totally 100% concur with how coach broadway setup his schedules. i've said that from the very beginning and i will "always" feel that way no matter how many championships we've won. all i know is if "5 snap" fowler is forced into action in a close game at the cb, i will chew my finger nails off... ^^^^THIS^^^^ Broadway showed us the blueprint for success. He scheduled weak teams as warm ups everywhere he went, and it worked. Folks always want to change something that ain’t broken. We should schedule based on what it will take to make us as experienced and as healthy as possible heading into the conference schedule and a run at the CB Bowl. And if winning the MEAC doesn’t raise eyebrows...fugg them !!! We got nothing to prove. My feelings aren’t hurt one bit...nothing that check and national exposure can’t heal. FAMU gave us a gift that will literally keep on giving this season with all the money and exposure the team and school will receive. Boggles my mind why some would rather travel or pay to host a FCS playoff game.

Suppose "5-snap Fowler" gets into a car accident tonight while going to Food Lion for groceries..... Suppose the Aggie football bus turns over on 85 while going to the CB.......
Carter's injury was a non-football, "sh-t happens" type of injury.
We can pontificate until we're blue in the face, but things in life......beyond our control.......happen. I'm just glad the young man is alive, will heal and will be back next year.
After the end of the Central game, we had a healthy Raynard and a healthy Carter. What more could any of us ask for with respect to our QB status? At the AAF meeting, the coach's words were "The Central game was the first game where everybody was healthy." He gave that response after I personally asked him why the team couldn't put a full 60-minute game together until the last game of the season vs Central.
Someone who was at the meeting on Monday.....vouch for me on that one.
And let's be honest for a minute. Whether it be WSSU, VUL, Shaw, Chowan, etc......do we really believe that if Fowler played a quarter (or even a half) against such inferior competition that he would be ready for either Southern or Alcorn......3 months later?
We just have to put this one in the "sh-t happens" file, pray Raynard is eating raw steak and spinach for the next 2 weeks, and plan for him to do no QB draws or bootlegs until the 4th qtr of the CB (if it is necessary).

To paraphrase someone's post from a few years back...as long as we're in the Celebration Bowl era, with the payout and television exposure it brings, we should not schedule D-II opponents.

Our schedule progressively got harder in each one of broadways years. I dont buy that he would have WANTED to keep a div2 opponent on the schedule with the type of program we have now.

(We would not have sold out last year if it was not NCCU)... facts We were on a trajectory for a fan base a solid one then the elite Aggies said bump that we don't want people using our port o potties for free. That emptied the stadium and any hopes for a community fan base. Now we exploit our students for revenue. Does not matter the opponent d1 or d2 people come to see the Aggies play. If we play a D2 opponent should be an hbcu give them the cash...

If we play a D2 opponent should be an hbcu give them the cash... Food for thought... In 2017-18, A&T generated $1.3 million in gate revenue for football and basketball, which is an all-time record. That also doesn't include the Beer Garden, which will be on the 2018-19 numbers once they're done. The Game Zone is a big part of the gate revenue. Between that and the security buffer it provides, it's definitely not going anywhere. What may be up for debate is the reduction of the GA adult ticket pricing from its current $27 price point. In talking with Campus Enterprises, they're looking at the risk/reward for reducing the price vs. getting enough average attendance to increase the revenue. And it's not as simple as marketing blasts. They'll need to get some real community feedback before they make that type of change. So there is some potential progress on the table.

Well looks like our fans and Blue and Gold Marching Machine will have to tighten up to fit in the stands! With our fans and all the SC State fans that will show up, we'll take over that little stadium. Lol You know good and well Dr. Ruff aint bringing the Machine to that game. If there aint no 5th quarter involved, the Machine wont travel. He took them to Gardner Webb and their band didn't even play, and the following week to UNC Charlotte and there was no 5th qtr. I hope they go. If you can justify going to Savannah State for their 25 people in their band and the 700 people they had in the stadiums you can justify going anywhere. It would be a good game for the band to go to a great City to for them to see, and a ton of black kids to recruit

I almost quit reading right there. Don't mess with success...KEEP THE GAMEZONE IN PLACE.
But I do believe that we need to get much more engaged in the community. As I mentioned, with the product that we now have, we should have at least 2 guaranteed soldout games every season.
Our GAMEZONE is not hampering that one bit, AGGIESWAG.

Just like the excellent timing of it being high school band day in Savannah this year. Only thing is.....there literally is no room in that stadium
