The fact that you don't lose your head coach from the 2018 team is what gives me the most confidence.

I don't. Morgan and Howard will be rolling out new coaches, Pough will likely be coaching his final season, and NCCU's program needs a complete rebuild. Bethune is the only game I am concerned about, but we get them at home. That’s the only game you’re worried about? There’s no way you believe that match-up in Tallahassee will be a cake walk for the Aggies. The Rattlers don’t lose much of anything from the 2018 team and have some nice additions on the way. FAMU is trending upwards. And you better believe that the bad blood between the Rattlers and Aggies from 2018 will carry over into the 2019 game. Bad blood about WHAT??
I mean, I'm in Tallahassee and I've never heard anything about "bad blood," not even from Coach Simmons. They've talked about "regret" and "embarrassment" and "payback," but not that.
(Now, there is bad blood in T&F, but that's all on FAMU's track coach.)

If the bad blood stems from not having lights in the lockerroom when they arrived at the stadium, over 65% of Greensboro was still without lights from Tropical Storm Michael at that hour. The stadium's electricity was just coming back up.
If the bad blood stems from the NC Highway Patrol not meeting FAMU's team buses at the appointed spot at the appointed time, over 65% of The Triad was still in disarray from Tropical Storm Michael and they were late...but they got there.

Don't you have a game with Fort Valley State in Atlanta to worry about? What about Southern?

There’s a lot more to unpack...but I’ll leave that for the people who were there.

I don't know if we are still looking at any Division II schools, but...
...Per Football Scoop, West Virginia State is specifically looking for an FCS opponent on September 21st and their head football coach is the lead contact person (email address is included).
LINK: footballscoop.com/the-scoop/ (look for WEST VIRGINIA STATE under "Monday, January 14, 2019")

Man, hellllllllllllll no. We have sailed way past those days as a football program. The only way we're going to guarantee 6 home games is to do a D2 opponent this year. No FCS squad will do a home-and-home with us with the first game being in Greensboro. Cats ain't reaching out to us for games at this stage.

The only D2 I can stomach us playing is WSSU. At least that will result in a full stadium.
If we can't find an opponent for a home date, we should look for another money game against an FBS.
There is zero upside to playing the Barber-Scotia's of the world.
