So we really are trying to keep this thread going😂🤣 Yes. We'll see how good it looks when we get late into a season, it's cold and/or rainy. What Roy said...good looking grass during a spring game is impressive, but if that's impressive then the bar is way too low. I want nice looking grass late in the football season during a televised conference game. That may take a while to get...who knows? Perhaps after we get a turf practice filed to take pressure off the game field. I been watching Aggie Football since I was a student and our grass has been "crappy" too many times on TV or in person to say all is forgiven because it looked good during the spring game. I know it's a process...and I know we are learning, but this thread and others like it will disappear when things like a great playing surface become the norm. We complain because we know we can do better...long live the "About That Grass..." thread LOL !!! Hell, lets add a thread for facilities, fund raising, and coaching. LOL !!!

It must have cost more than a few $$'s to get the field in that condition. With all the rain in the days preceeding the game it could have been messy. Drainage had to be excellent as there were no players slipping and no divots popping up.
The field looked as good at the end of the game as it did at kickoff. Only downside is it made the faded bleachers stand out.

It was in great shape in our last home game against Campbell last year after a week of below hard freeze nights leading into that Saturday. Time to give our facilities management a little bit of credit at least.

Our field maintenance has been a sore point for fans for years. Why is it a priority now? Will this extend to the baseball/fields fields? Will they be responsible for the turf practice field as well. How much more have we invested? Who pushed the issue? So many questions...

Trust me they are putting in time and resources into our Athletic Facilities & Fields. Sharpes Landscaping is responsible for the look of the game field. Also look the softball field is his work too.

Here are two "If's" that could impact Truist Stadium... 1. If we win those big home games this season, the grass will not make a difference in October for some of us card carrying AAF members. 2. If we did more gameday marketing and got more butts on the visitor's side, we wouldn't notice those faded bleachers as much. I know those are some big "If's" but I think we can do both. Hell, when we started this conversation, most of us didn't think the University had a clue how to fix the grass. Now our field is a shining example of what complaints and hard work can accomplish. And in the words of Jessie..."Keep hope alive?"

Hot damn, Blue Death investigative work has uncovered the "Holy Grail" and the "Ark of the Covenant" of A&T's "Who done it?" Now we know that one of our own, an Aggie was the reason for our stadium grass. Thank you to Sharpe's Landscaping & Design and the staff of investigative reporters at Blue Death Valley! www.sharpeslandscaping.com/

The school finally realized that the internal grounds staff couldn't do it right. BDV told them 10 years ago.

well, at least a&t's agriculture school can take credit for the "drastic" improvement at aggie stadium albeit the dude who is responsible is an alum. i would've liked to have seen the undergrads take on that project, but beggars can't be choosey. the next best thing was for a graduate of our agriculture school to do it and omg, what a "masterful" job he did. he should use this thread in one of his commercials or promotions. over 100 pages of bdv "complaints" came to silence once his company went to work on our football field...

Facilities does not work for Athletics and neither does the College of Agriculture. I suspect Athletics found a willing donor or had saved enough money to make a deal to do what we saw.
