At some point y’all are gonna understand that these people are all jive turkeys. There is no logical reason why we should still be doing design work.

Rockwood Field was built in 1910. It looks good on TV (Fox 8).

I do not understand how design work is not completed, so confused. North Carolina A&T State University is accepting proposals for Construction Manager at Risk for the War Memorials Baseball Stadium project until 4:00 PM on March 10, 2023 in the DeHuguley Building at North Carolina A&T State University. The project scope includes the restoration of the exterior arches, renovation of the existing building, re-orientation of the baseball field, along with various other items. Project budget of $8,000,000 million includes design, construction, equipment, furniture, commissioning, Special Inspections, contingencies and all other related costs. The project is located at 510 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro, NC. Supposedly some demolition will take place this fall. Structure test and analysis are happening now. The university only can move when the get approval from State Construction. Rumor that Raleigh is not meeting regularly to approve items across UNC System Office. They are behind on lot of stuff.

Yep, it is always somebody else's fault.
What type of 'tests and analysis' could we still be doing at this point if the only holdup is supposedly those mean folks in Raleigh?
Weren't we doing tests and analysis back when that evil Historic Committee was blocking everything last year?
I'm pretty sure test and analysis was going on back when the sea turtles and asbestos prevented us from moving forward.
I think all the test and analysis have finally come back and the reports determined that the A&T administration is full of BS.

Folks have been making the same excuses for the past 5 years. It is always somebody else's fault and some external factor preventing us from doing what we need. We have refused to hold our leadership accountable and put any type of pressure on them to speed up the pace. The facts are that War Memorial was a complete dump when I started this thread and five years later it has only gotten worse. If you guys are happy with just waiting quietly until the stars align for everything to finally be perfect, that is on you. But I know what jive turkeyness looks like when I see it. At some point, we need to have people in place with the ability to make things happen. Not just tell us all the reasons its hard for them to do so. Two years ago, almost to the day.

Supposedly some demolition will take place this fall. Robert Pompey went in front of the BOT and said that renovations would start this summer. Structure test and analysis are happening now. Structure tests were completed at War Memorial Stadium back in 2016: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0950061815308308The university only can move when the get approval from State Construction. Rumor that Raleigh is not meeting regularly to approve items across UNC System Office. They are behind on lot of stuff. This is the lamest excuse of them all. Why would A&T officials promise that work would start right after the baseball season ended if they didn't already have official approval to start the project in the first place? And why were we able to start construction on the new dorm project and other buildings on campus so soon, but this baseball stadium project is always stuck in park?
