So what is the date of the celebrationbowl? Sent from my SM-G920V using proboards Slow up homeboy...let's not get too far ahead of our headlights...but it's December 17th! We still got some big important conference games ahead and SC State and NCCU ain't going to take us for granted like Kent State did. We definitely have all the tools to make it to the Celebration bowl but the Panthers last season had all the tools to beat Denver. And we all know how that ended.

Me neither. I don't think they had the horses. I think maybe the players couldn't get up for us considering what they've done to Del State over the years, but the coaches probably warned them repeatedly.
I don't take offense at the coach not knowing the players' names. He knew their numbers, sizes, and abilities. How many of their players could we name?
I hope they go undefeated from here on out. Primarily because it makes us look better, lol. At the very least I hope they handle Monmouth handily next week. If Monmouth beats them too it takes some shine off our victory.

This small article in the Greensboro News-Record is an embarrassment to the field of sports journalism! If your are a professional newspaper, you should be hiring professional writers to cover your clientele, not stringers! Anyway...From the Greensboro News-Record: www.greensboro.com/gnr/aggies-claim--ot-victory-over-kent-for-first-win/article_ed3e9101-d9f1-554c-8098-3c204eb9603c.htmlAggies claim 4-OT victory over Kent for first win over FBS opponentPosted: Sunday, September 11, 2016 12:30 am By Allen Moff Special to the News & Record KENT, Ohio — North Carolina A&T earned its first-ever victory over an FBS opponent in thrilling fashion, defeating host Kent State 39-36 in a six-hour, four-overtime contest that ended early Sunday morning. Senior Oluwafemi Bamiro, the third quarterback used by the Aggies (2-0), tossed a 15-yard touchdown pass to senior Denzel Keyes to erase a three-point deficit and give N.C. A&T the victory.
The start of the game was delayed two hours and 10 minutes due to lightning and heavy rains that started just minutes before the scheduled 6:04 p.m. kickoff.
Senior running back Tarik Cohen rushed for 133 yards on 24 carries and caught nine passes for 125 yards to lead the Aggies, who outgained the Golden Flashes (0-2) 407-275.
North Carolina A&T trailed 10-0 after doing little offensively in the first half, but tied the game in the third quarter on a 6-yard TD pass from Kylil Carter to Leroy Hill and a 36-yard field goal by Cody Jones.
After Kent State went back in front 17-10, Cohen scored on a 2-yard run with 5:50 remaining to send the game into overtime.
Jones hit a 35-yard field goal in the first extra session, Bamiro scored on a 1-yard run in the second overtime, then Hill caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Bamiro in overtime No. 3.
The Aggies defense held Kent State to a 42-yard Shane Hynes field goal to start the fourth overtime, setting up Keyes’ game-winning score.

I assume they still don't consider us "their clientele."
Let's be honest, they barely cover us at all unless it's some bad news. The article would've been twice as long if we were blown out. I don't know why our relationship with the local paper is so bad and has been so bad for so long, but it is what it is.

The article is up now. I think this had as much to do with the timing of the game, the staff at the News-Record and we aren't an ACC school. No guarantee: A&T's historic win over Kent adds to Aggies' paydayN.C. A&T running back Tarik Cohen, pictured during the Celebration Bowl after the 2015 season, ran for 133 yards and caught nine passes for 125 yards in the Aggies’ 39-36 four-overtime win at Kent State on Saturday night. Posted: Sunday, September 11, 2016 9:53 pm By Jeff Mills jeff.mills@greensboro.com It was past midnight Saturday, turning to Sunday in rainy northeastern Ohio. A new day for N.C. A&T football. Tarik Cohen rushed for 133 yards, caught nine passes for 125 more yards, and the Aggies rallied for a 39-36 victory in four overtimes at Kent State. Let that sink in for a moment. It’s a big deal. It’s the first victory over a higher-division FBS team in A&T’s history. The Aggies had shied away from the so-called “guarantee games” for years, playing only three until facing Kent. The Aggies had lost them all, and by an average score of 48-8. That’s what is supposed to happen when an FCS team takes the money — in this case, more than $300,000 — to play up, making a road trip to face a team with 22 more scholarships. Even so, Kent coach Paul Haynes was worried about the matchup... link
