I agree with you here...we need DBs! Love to get some taller DBs that aren't taken to the woodshed by taller receivers. QBs: I know we have two injured QBs returning but who know's how well they will play next season. Plus if we've learned anything this year it was we can never have too many good QBs. Punters and Field Goal Kicker: For the past 4 years, Cody Jones has helped us forget those season when we had crappy kickers. Punters and Field Goal kickers in recent years have helped us win big games. Without kickers we would not have beat App State a few years ago. I think we are ok at db. Imo, our problem is our defensive schemes which just doesn't put enough pressure on the quarterback. A defensive scheme is only as good as the linemen in it. Point we need better D-lineman that can push and collaspe the pocket in the middle inside out, that is what we are missing this year ,unlike last year.

True bot unless you have the best 4 def lineman in football you cant expect to get constant pressure with a 4 man front....got blitz sometimes and we rarely do

A guy that I think is flying way under the radar is QB Tanner Wilson (6-2,210) from Reidsville HS. Strong body, really good size, good speed, a great arm and extremely accurate with a 72.7% completion rate - 114-172 for 2,020 yards, 32 TDS against just 3 interceptions. His team just advanced in the 3-A playoffs last night against Mountain Heritage 45-14. He's a pure talent who no one is really paying attention to. This guy is going to a big time catch for someone. Reidsville is actually 2A and not 3A but he's definitely a talented QB. Living in Rockingham County and seeing him play in person, he's the type of QB that if he ends up at Hampton or Norfolk State could give us problems for years. Decent size at 6'2 210. His deep ball is probably as good if not better than Raynard's. Also one of his receivers Austyn Chestnut is a playmaker. 5 punt returns for TD and 1 kick return for touchdown in addition to 11 receiving TDs. There's been a lot of talent at Reidsville over the years but many of their guys end up in the CIAA.

Are they in the CIAA because of grades?

Of course there are probably a few instances some years, but generally their football players make good grades.

Are they in the CIAA because of grades? A lot Greensboro Area players are leaving the area and even the state and yes a few end up in the CIAA but quite a lot are going out of the area completely. They have even had a few that ended up at the North Dakota State. Apparently they were not recruited because they played it at 1A,2A or 3A School. It is shameful how many good players that we just let slip through our fingers.

Sometimes it's toughest to get the ones in your backyard because a lot of kids prefer to leave home.

Recruiting is an art not a science. It's hard to figure out what a 16 year old high school grad will do. Can't always blame our coaching staff when a talented player doesn't attend A&T or when we pass on a recruit.

A&T recruits every level. Don't believe they overlook players from any classification ... Check the roster

recruiting is a very "tricky" thing to do. you want to recruit the best athletes possible, but you also don't wanna waste very valuable time and resources recruiting a kid that you have little chance of signing when that same time/resources could be spent on a somewhat less talented kid who you do have a decent chance of signing.
and yes, i think our coaches recruit "all classifications", not just the top level classifications. cohen was one example, but so are the keyes brothers. they both played ball at a 2a school and they both made all meac...

what do you all feel are the biggest needs for the Aggies in 2017 I personally feel: DL, OL, RB, QB, and K are my top 5 for various reasons. I don't say DB because we have some gems that were redshirted
