Any kid can be changed man. Never give up on one. Now he's gonna need some special attention , but a kid like him in the CIAA.... That's 2 wins right there just on his talent alone

If I'm Ernest Wilson , I'm getting him on the phone and getting him up to ECSU. Easier to qualify on the DII level and will be in a small town so he can be controlled I'm sorry but this kid is bad news no matter what size city he's in. And ECSU has enough problems without recruiting an alleged armed criminal. There's only one place I'd recommend for him...NCCU. lol I definitely don't want him at NCCU. This dude just might "see the light" and turn his life around. I don't want to have to worry about this kid when we face 'Da Buzzards. Let him go to ECSU or Benedict or Shaw or Edward Waters.

my first thoughts are that there was a reason that nobody else signed him before he committed to ssu and perhaps this is the reason why. most of us “assumed” nobody else signed him because of grades. but if he already had a criminal past, no doubt that will certainly run recruiters away.
if the kid got caught selling a little weed or something, that’s one thing. doesn’t really harm anybody. but breaking into somebody’s house? oh hail no, that’s far more serious. i’d check his background and if he has had similar problems with the law prior to that? i absolutely wouldn’t take a chance on him...

From what my friends have said about him "The kid has had no other run in's with the law before this . It's just his friends that are always in some type of trouble " I think we all have had Friends like that.. lol I know I did !! But all it takes is being in the wrong place at the right time for your future to end up Turned upside down !! I hope that the Light comes on with this Kid as it did for me and a lot of others, this may be his wake up call but only time will tell !! Too me selling Weed is just has bad as any criminal activity because of the mind set of the kids to day 8-)I hope his life line is not pulled away and he is given a chance to atone for his actions

i'm not so sure how coach broadway would feel about bringing someone in who has his criminal past. besides, given that ssu improved this year, wouldn't you think that ssu would have the inside edge on re-signing him again? but heck, i'd be willing to take a risk if his grades are in good shape and he's maintained decent grades at the juco level (provided he hasn't gotten into any more trouble since his last incident)...

Doubt he will look at MEAC schools unless he doesn't graduate from Juco . However, you really have to work hard not to graduate from a Mississippi juco. If he doesn't graduate , CIAA

I Personally think the top 3 priorities are OL, RB, and CB. OL: yes we had the OLPOTY and and top rusher but I feel that we left a lot of yards on the field. I felt like two-eight could have put up Maurice Hicks type numbers or close to it. Our offensive line was shaky last season but got better in the Celebration Bowl after a coaching change. It's never been great but just serviceable. I wish we could get an OL that could actually pass protect and open holes. Haven't seen that yet! RB: Tarik is a Sr next year we have to think about the future and his replacements. I'm less worried about RB...we ain't going to replace Tarik but with the right offensive line, a good RB will help us win games. DB: we losing our top two corners who were both all meac performers. Our last 4 or 5 corners were either all-meac, All- American, or in the NFL. (Touchdowntony, Boyan, Graham, Deji, and Mattocks). I believe #5 Tard can get the Job done if he really works up to gametime next year but who else can fill that void I agree with you here...we need DBs! Love to get some taller DBs that aren't taken to the woodshed by taller receivers. QBs: I know we have two injured QBs returning but who know's how well they will play next season. Plus if we've learned anything this year it was we can never have too many good QBs. Punters and Field Goal Kicker: For the past 4 years, Cody Jones has helped us forget those season when we had crappy kickers. Punters and Field Goal kickers in recent years have helped us win big games. Without kickers we would not have beat App State a few years ago.

We have 4 punters. The guy who did such a great job at App State is #3 now. None of the punters are seniors.

Our kicking game will continue on next season without missing a beat. We also have a couple of place kickers who sat out this year who have serious range as well. We're very solid in that department.

A guy that I think is flying way under the radar is QB Tanner Wilson (6-2,210) from Reidsville HS. Strong body, really good size, good speed, a great arm and extremely accurate with a 72.7% completion rate - 114-172 for 2,020 yards, 32 TDS against just 3 interceptions. His team just advanced in the 3-A playoffs last night against Mountain Heritage 45-14.
He's a pure talent who no one is really paying attention to. This guy is going to a big time catch for someone.

It's a shame but if the kid is not from Dudley his chances of getting a scholarship to A&T ..LOL Neal !! He is just to close to Greensboro for Tee to actively recruit him. Sad but true! I have heard that NCCU ,WSSU & ELON or in the mix in his recruitment. Known contact from Tee at all.

Imo, our problem is our defensive schemes which just doesn't put enough pressure on the quarterback.
