I disagree with most! The play calling was on point, our offensive line wasn't at all. So, if anyone needs to look at what happened, it's them. They performed poorly, the let an undersized defensive win the battle of the line of scrimmage. Bottom line, you can't execute if you have guys all over you due to not blocking. I agree Gator, They just got out played .

In all honesty, THIS RIVALRY HAS BECOME MUCH TOO FRIENDLY.
I remember the days back in the '60s and '70s Aggies and Eagles couldn't even converse with each other without knife fights and punches being thrown. I think that our players have become too friendly with each other, and our fans certainly have become too chummy.
We used to have a very strong HATE for Eagles...and I definitely don't see that anymore. As players, we had a very hard time showing our faces around campus (outside of going to class) if we lost to NCCU. Now we hug each other and laugh with them after the game is over.
We need to get back to basics in this rivalry all-the-way around. Overall, we have become very soft with them, and it's obvious that we are not sick of losing to them, yet.

I think that NCCU players or always in the rivalry mode when they play A&T, were as our players look at Central as just another game! I don't think that A&T's players fully understand the History of A&T and Central and we are not educating the young Aggies about that History.

With all due respect, the notions that ... 1) Aggie players don't understand the history of this rivalry 2) The rivalry has become much too friendly
...wouldn't even have been brought up if the final score read 21-16 Aggies. We lost because the team on the othere side was better prepared. I don't care how much hate you have for a team; I don't care how bad you want to beat a team. I don't care how deeply you know the in's and out's of a rivalry. If you don't have a solid gameplan to beat the other team.......and the other team does.......YOU'LL LOSE; the game yesterday proved this to the utmost degree.

They don't know the history, they don't know about the intensity and they don't know the repercussions of losing to NCCU...and it's our fault for not passing that on to the younger generation.
And the lack of that old intensity is killing us at the box office. WAS THIS GAME SOLD OUT?? NO...and there is no excuse for it not being sold out!!

Man... Are you promoting violence? It's just a game! IT'S WAY MORE THAN "JUST A GAME!!" And that's the problem...nobody knows that anymore, and we are suffering financially because of that very same attitude. There is no way in hell that this game should not be sold out a month in advance. But it's not because our fans now think, "IT'S JUST A GAME."

Wow...
A month before or the day of, the game was packed! That's a given, since the days of playing Carter-Finley. Still, what does this have to do with winning and losing. The game is played on the field, not in the stands. People have more important things in life than a freaking game.
Can't believe we're having this exchange in this day and age!

That's exactly my point...WE'VE BECOME WAY TOO SOFT IN THIS RIVALRY, and rivalries need "an edge" to them to really make money.
And I'm not just picking on us (Aggie-Eagle Classic). I've said the same thing about the damn Florida Classic. That rivalry has lost its edge because it's become a freakin' LOVE-FEST...no bitterness, no hate and no punch. It is a shell of it's former self...pathetic!
I'm not expecting those who didn't experience this to understand it.
Let's move on.

Its no longer knives Bro. I know of at least HBCU 3 campus lockdowns last month because of guns. I'm really glad that the players don't mix it up. Remember Corbett? or Aggie Stadium, mace and Dee Todd?

Really, the Aggie Nation is just shaping up (after those 0-twenty something yrs). We always came to the games, but were quiet on 3rd downs. It's a little better now.
A&T is on the come up. Winning games and all. We did it right. Watch what happens in Atlanta and National TV.. It should be an easy recruiting season for the staff.

Hey we didn't lose this game because our players didnt understanding the rivalry. We lost because NCCU players were better prepared by their coach to play and we weren't. I hate NCCU more than anyone but they've beat us two years in a row and that makes them a better team. And if we don't get a lot better next year, they'll beat us again.

On another note, should we keep Elon on the schedule (we seem to have their number)? And didn't it help us when it was all said and done?
