You all should know by now that Broadway likes to keep a low key approach to signing day. He did the same thing when he was at NCCU.

Times have changed. Signing day has become huge and its good publicity for your program. If you are going to release the names at 6:30pm, there's no reason not to release them earlier in the day.

Maybe he's trying to maximize participation locally by not releasing names until the event. I know I'd be there out of curiosity, for sure.

Harris signed with Catawba Three Mooresville football stars sign on Wednesday WCNC Staff, WCNC.com 12:43 p.m. EST February 4, 2015 MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- A packed media center anxiously awaited the arrival of three football stars at Mooresville High School Wednesday. With National Signing Day finally here, these Blue Devils were finally able to sign a National Letter of Intent and end the lengthy recruiting process. Head football coach Hal Capps opened the ceremony by speaking about his former players, the likes of which helped lead Mooresville to a 10-2 record in 2014. Qua Harris, a 280-pound left tackle, was pleased with his decision to commit to nearby Catawba College. "I'm thankful for the opportunity to play football, and my parents will get to come see my games," said Harris shortly after the highly anticipated moment.

I don't care if he brings in recruits with blankets over their heads, as long as he fills some of the gaps we had last year. SC State is going to get their share of "jocks" and there's not much we can do about it. Never mind their wins and victories over us, it's just a lot easier for some kids to get into SC State. As for NCCU, they have the best athletic media in the MEAC so they are going to dominate the media. But publicity on "signing day" is more for us alums and don't win ball games. As long as Broadway and his staff keep building a quality football program let's just chill out.

News Record newspaper indicated we signed 17 players. That's all I have seen today.

Sounds like we are beating a dead horse here. On another note I wonder if losing our former OC/Recruiting Coordinator will have an effect on this class. I really hope not!

"Big-play receivers Denzel Keyes, Xavier Griffin and Caleb Gabriel really enhanced the Aggies offense in 2014. A&T added to its big playmaking capabilities by bringing in Shawn Barnes (6-4, 180, Fayetteville, N.C., E.E. Smith), Donovahn Jones (6-3, 190, Stockbridge, Ga., University of Minnesota transfer) and Cameron Moore (6-3, 190, Bayboro, N.C., Pamlico County HS)."
UH-OH!
I'm expecting to see Donovahn line up opposite Denzel in the red zone. We are going to put up points, if things gel. I think Jones is on campus this semester.
