Not even Wallace Miles? I just knew he'd get a shot with someone? At least he does have a Contract Offer from the Canadian Football League. They offered him before the NFL draft

If he lacks the size and speed for the NFL? What makes you think he has it for the CFL?? The CFL is about speed!! That's why a lot of your smaller players end up in the CFL!!! Wallace Miles should have been given a look by the NFL but yet it's the some old thing BS!!! If Miles had been at UNC and put up the # that he had at A&T he would have been picked at lest in the 7th round are given a Free agent contact offer! If Miles wants to stay in the USA and play football their is a new league that is starting up in 2013 with teams in Dallas,LA and a few other cities. So if he wants to continue playing I feel that he can find a home!! He...l 100k is a 100k even in Canada Many looking to play professional football have their eyes set on the big lights of the National Football League. And for good reason---it's a big stage playing in front of a big audience and for big money. However, many also find success north of the border in the Canadian Football League (CFL)---though the stage is much smaller, and so is the money. The average salary, based on the salary cap and roster sizes, is a just under $93,500. The CFL does not release salary information, making information speculative. At 6-1 he wouldn't necessarily be considered to small. What's his 40 time? With the way he runs routes and catches everything thrown near him he should be getting a look. Lesser athletes are getting looks. Dang, who is his agent?

ya think the nfl is prejudiced against him? someone would sign him if they thought he could make the team. if he's 6-1, that's all the better reason not to sign him unless he has blazing speed. ya don't have to have blazing speed if you're big enough to be a possession receiver. but 6-1 ain't gone cut it as a possession receiver...

It's not the point of who has the fastest receivers!!! The point is the statement that Miles did not have the size and speed for the NFL!!! Miles should have been given a shoot!!! As I stated before " If Miles had been at UNC and put up the # that he had at A&T he would have been picked at lest in the 7th round are given a Free agent contact offer!" Look at Ryan Broyles, WR/PR, Oklahoma Height: 5-10. Weight: 192. 40 Time: 4.56. and others like him (http://walterfootball.com/draft2012WR.php) Miles should have been given a look!!! I don't know how fast Miles is but if he is in the 4.4 or 4.6 range he is right inline with most of the WR that have been Drafted are given a Free agent look. Come on OSA I have to disagree with you on that size thing also. If miles is 6'1" and can run at lest a 4.6 are less he has the size and the speed to be a possession receiver!!! There have been and are right now a # of guys under 6' and not that fast (NFL SPEED WISE) that are playing in the Show right now just like miles but it's not the player it's the school he played at ,the conference he played in, and the NCAA division level of play. And yes the NFL is prejudiced against smaller schools and HBCU's when it comes to some football positions!!! YOU KNOW THIS!!

Oklahoma State wide receiver Josh Cooper signed an UFA contract with Cleveland and he's only 5-11 and runs a 4.65 forty. Eric Page from Toledo is 5-9 and runs a 4.6 forty but he signed with Denver. Jordan White, WMU 6-0 and runs a 4.69 forty. Jarret Boykin, Va Tech, 6-2 / 4.72 forty. ECU's Lance Lewis is 6-0 and runs a 4.58. Seriously, I could keep going . Any agent worth his salt should have been able to get WM an undrafted free agent contract. Perhaps he didn't sign on with an agent?

Are Just maybe Miles did not want to play any more??? It's not what we would like for Miles but what Miles wants for him self!!!! IF I remember right Miles was on an Academic scholarship was he not ?? So most likely he could careless about the CFL or NFL. Guys like Miles already have their Goals and the CFL/NFL may not be one of them. Most of the ones that we see at the JCO level their Dream is to make it to the Show and most have good if not strong Academics. But they didn't get the scholarship to a big time program out of high school. The Kids know that if you go to a smaller program are D-1 Sub your chances in the NFL Draft is slim at best and at most you may get a undrafted free agent contract.> So they come to us with the hope that they will get a look from the big time programs. As I said before the NFL is prejudiced against smaller schools, D-1 Subdivision and HBCU's when it comes to some football positions!! Yes you have a few that show up big in the Draft but we do not get the Respect That we should and the Kids know this. Back on point Miles should have been Drafted. But only Miles knows what he wants to do. We should just be thankful that we had him . Good luck Mr Miles and my god bless you because A&T was blessd to have you play for the AGGIE's. F......K the NFL. I hope that we get more players like you Education first football second!!

Wallace was a Mech Eng major and he was definitely looking for a job in his field as I received his resume during the recruitment fair.
Sent from my ADR6400L using ProBoards

Thanks Saabman for putting things into perspective. There's a TV commercial that states that most of the college athletes will not turn professional in sports. Miles will do just fine with an engineering degree from A&T

Sent from my ADR6400L using ProBoards well, at least we know he won't have a problem finding a job. it might not be where he wants to locate, but he shouldn't have a problem finding a job with a bs in mech. engineering, even in this bad economy...

Any agent worth his salt should have been able to get WM an undrafted free agent contract. Perhaps he didn't sign on with an agent? look, a free agent wr in the nfl who runs a 4.6 has virtually no chance of making an nfl roster unless he's like 6-3 or taller with a whole lot of athletic ability. no wr in the nfl can create separation if he only runs a 4.6 forty. you can find 6-1 wr's who run a 4.6 forty almost anywhere. so to find one in the meac, which is one of the least competitive leagues at the fcs level, is no big deal. the redskins just had over 60 rookies at their rookie camp and outside of those who were drafted, they'd be "lucky" to find 4 or 5 guys who'll even get invited back to training camp, much less make the team. so why should signing a 6-1 wr who runs a 4.6 forty in an inferior fcs league that's not even nearly close to the fbs level be a priority for nfl teams? if ya don't have the size or speed they're looking for, you had better have experience against top notch competition just to get a "rookie camp" invite. ya'll act like it should've been a "no brainer" to sign miles as a free agent, but why? heck, howard's willie carter signed a free agent contract with the redskins primarily because he's taller (6-3) and probably faster than miles. however i must admit, on 2nd thought, i do agree with saabman that there is an unspoken bias in the nfl against smaller schools like hbcu's...
