Yeah, this topic has been beat to death. Just today as a matter of fact. You can just replace ODU with Elon and NSU with A&T.
Some want the game and some dont think its worth playing.

But i see a lot on this page wanting to bring back WSSU game. I'm fine with that if they move back up to I-AA but if they are D-2, then we need to move on. Have Elon, or Campbell, Gardner-Webb or Liberty. I just want us to stop trying to live in the past and try to win championships and play legit consistant competition.

The WSSU argument will never go away as long as we play someone like VUL in their place.

I hated the VUL game and hate playing any team below 1-AA. I want an HBCU (especially us) to finally be competitive in the FCS instead of being a team that's everybody can write us off the board fast.

Not quite sure of the argument about WSSU...they will bring in $$ and they are stiff competition. With our financial woes that's a no-brainer. Now, you put Elon, Liberty or Gardner-Webb on the schedule and what does that do?? Make us better?? I don't believe so...see NCCU. Understand what Broadway is saying when it comes to scheduling. Out of conference you play a D2 game and IF we can...get a 1-A opponent. But you don't put all tough opponents on your schedule yet. Not yet. So, right now...WSSU needs to be on the schedule until our program gets to the level that we are putting butts in the seats in the stadium no matter who we play. Until then....WSSU needs to be put back.

PLAYING WSSU IS A WIN- WIN SITUATION FOR BOTH SCHOOLS. IT 'S ALMOST THE SAME AS (D-2 PLAYING D-I) FOR FINANCAL REASONS.

WSSU does nothing for us if we win and hurts us if we lose. Money is good but that wouldn't be an issue if we were raising it ourselves

How is that afraid? Its a legitimate business move. There is no reason for us to do a home and home with a division II school. Now if WSSU wants to play @ A&T every year and get a check, so be it.
We should be focused on playing teams in our division and winning those games. Last i checked we were FCS. If we marketed a game or did things in a timely manner , then you would see the results of proper planning

"P"-I understand your focus and I agree with you on some of your points but I do know for a fact A&T does not want to play WSSU in football and basketball right now and it's not ALL about the money!!
I'm not just coming off the cuff.....let me just say trust what I am saying. And I will go on record that I do not agree w/the reasoning.

8-)Happy New Year family!
marchingband.....#7 on the list is getting ready to see a change SOON.
That's why it's important to voice concerns to the "big shots".
It's puzzling to me that peeps won't go to the ones who make decisions. I do and, as I have mentioned, there are others who do. However, the majority of us WILL NOT let their voices be heard to the RIGHT people.
Keep your eyes open on our "Kings of Comedy", I mean "Kings of Marketing". GO AGGIES GO

My Xmas /New Years wish is that 30% of all Aggies would give back at least $100 to Aggie Athletics.

Hey Decks, when I was at A&T we had this expression..."Each one reach one, each one teach one." That's the way I approach getting Aggies to give back to A&T. I reach out to one and ask them to give. Go find one Aggie, a friend, family member, classmate, or neighbor, and ask them to give something to A&T. If you ask enough Aggies enough times, someone will finally give. Now don't get me wrong, a lot of them will tell you to go to hell but eventually you will find one that will give. When you get that one to give, go find another one. If you are truly committed to helping A&T raise athletic funds, you will eventually have a major scholarship fund. That's how the Bill Clark Memorial Fund got started over two decades ago and now it is one of the Athletic Department's biggest contributors. So stop wishing for folks to give and go ask some Aggies to give.
