After a false start penalty, NC A&T calls last timeout with 0:28 left at FAMU 39 yd line We choked again. We need players real bad. God I hope we get some ball players next year. Effort cannot beat talent and we just don't have the talent this year. We have two more games to endure and this season will be over. SCSU should handle us easily but hopefully we can beat NCCU. Here's my wish list for next year: A QB with an accurate big passing arm A field goal kicker A punter

I think our guys played with heart, especially playing away from home! It's like Broadway said, "You better get us this year"! School is out next year for all MEAC teams, and they know it!

Like I said. If it was close, we lose.
Oh well, let go blow out these last 2 teams.

I disagree marchingband1969. We have the talent we just didn't execute. I watched the game and we had a # of players open but for some reason Kindle only looked for miles. At one point they had at lest 3 player in coverage on Miles and kindle tried to force it to Miles anyway with other players open. He never looked for the open man. Kindle has to learn that the long ball is not the best throw when you no you have limited throwing range. If you can't make the throw get it to the wide open receiver Underneath. Their was no reason for him to make some of the throws that he made today, with other receivers and backs open , No reason at all. We had a back open that had beat the LB Wide the F open and he never looked at them. I like Kindle but now I no why I gave him a C +. He has no Idea how to go through his progression steps on a pass that's the base for any QB. He has a long way to go to be a good QB from what I saw today , A LONG WAY.

Depth did not hurt us today it was lack of execution that killed us . You just can't miss tackles like that in the open field and allow short passes to go for big gains . QB has to hit the man that is open, not just your favorite receiver. FAMU threw passes to 7 different receivers we only threw to five. We had players open but Kindle looked them off, you can't do that if your in a close game. Their is no way in this Offense that one receiver should be your main focus when other guys are wide open down field no way . Kindle needs to spread the ball around and look for his open man, and short arming balls to open receivers when a player is open near the 1st down marker COME ON MAN.. Losing Mike Mayhew hurt us a lot but Dominique Drake did a good job filling in for him. As for the D spotty on and off play. You can't play that way IT HAS TO BE ON FOR THE HOLD GAME, THAT'S HOW YOU PLAY THE GAME. FAMU was trying to give us the game but we wouldn't take it. (leaving receivers open and just covering Miles with 3 guys come on Kindle. I'm just up set because I no we could have won that game. But I do know this Kindle need to step up his game because if we do happen to get a in coming Transfer are a good high school er he may be on the sideline with a clipboard next year.

We're just not that good. Good teams win close games. The players are fighting each week. We're competitive in the conference for the first time in a long time. I can't (won't) complain.

I will complain.
Right now the biggest problems hurting this team are the predictability of our offense and Kindle's/Pizzo's inability to get other players involved.
I understand Wallace Miles is an all-world receiver but you gotta start calling play specifically for Larry Raper or Ricky Lewis and make sure they get the ball in their hands.
Once decent opponents figure out our offensive scheme midway through the second quarter, we are effectively shut down for the rest of the game. Not enough creativity or offensive wrinkles on our part.

I feel you all on the fact that other guys need to contribute in this offense. But in reality, the only reason they are open, is because of the presence of Miles. If you think back, 10 of the 12 touchdowns thrown by Kindle have been either to Miles, or because of Miles presence. We don't have receivers other than Miles who can free themselves up with their footwork. I watched the game also. Miles put on a clinic. I really like the improvement that Raper has shown this year, and R Lewis is a playmaker, but these guys are converted backs, and have yet to master the art of footwork, so we have to get those guys in space so they can do what they do best. "RUN". But how do you do that, OFF OF MILES. Now, Yes I think that Miles is Kindles favorite receiver. But since he is the only guy that Kindle knows he does not have to throw a perfect ball in order to complete the pass, who would you look for ? I looked at last years stats, and folks we have made GIANT steps. We are actually respected in the MEAC. But teams also know that we are short handed, so 4th quarters will continue to be a problem. But tell me, in the last 5 years, if we were in a 1st and 10 from our own 8 yard line, how many times would we have ended up on the opponents 39. And we would have been further if not for a penalty on one of our PLAYMAKERS who wasn't even envolved in the play. And just like last week, if we could kick a field goal, we would have been in position to at least tie the game at the end. I know you guys want to win, we all do. But Kindle to Miles is not the reason we have not gotten it done in the last 3 weeks. BTW, my prayer is that our 2 running backs can recover for next week. They hold the key to winning.

Will someone that attended or saw the game please explain 300 yds in PENALTIES between the two teams. Don't think I have ever seen that level of penalties between two teams on any level.
That was the one thing A&T seemed to be improving on. Were players baiting each other? Was it just bad officiating? Something doesn't add up here....and we still had 400 yds of total offense! CRAZY!!!

Not enough creativity or offensive wrinkles on our part. Are Raper or Lewis good enough or have they earned enough trust for them to be focal points during stretches of the game? It seems that there is a dependence on Miles due to the fact that Kindle nor the OC simply can't trust another WR/TE to pull off a clutch play.

From what I saw on Saturday, the kicking game was the root of a lot of the problems. Gotta get a reliable kicker from anywhere!
I also thought that A&T got really screwed by the officials...especially at the end of the 2nd quarter, which is when the tide turned in FAMU's favor.
And Mayhew's injury was HUGE. Any word on the extent of the injury?? (I have not read any other postings on this thread, so I will go back and read...someone might have posted info on Mayhew already.)
