I hope the forecast is wrong but it saying a cold and rainy day on Sat. I wonder who has an advantage in this type of weather. I would think it would help A&T with the strong running game.

if it rains, i would agree it would play to our advantage. nobody likes to pass when the football is wet, and so far our rush defense has been our defensive strength. plus, rain would reduce the homecoming crowd and lessen the home field advantage just a little...

Norfolk's QB has a good arm so if the weather impacts his passing ability, that's good for us. We "should" be able to run the ball but we couldn't last week against Howard. If they put 8 in the box, that could be a problem. I think it will be a close but sloppy game. A&T will win by 4 points! Go Aggies!! ;D

The weather is similar forcast like it is here in Durham. It will rain on Friday evening through Sat Morn. Then it suppose to start clearing up in the afternoon.Which it still be wet but hopefully no rain will still be coming down by game time.

Is Torrian Warren out for the season ? I thought he was scheduled to return week of homecoming or the Howard game.
I guess if he is 100% it would make sense to bring him back for the final 4 games since we are in the running for MEAC title if not he should apply for a redshirt year.

We need the other running backs to step up their play so that Mike Mayhew can get some rest. . We have to put R.Lewis's skills to work a lot more in the offense (more then just in the wild Cat). That kid that plays Full Back us him. A&T has the weapons. I see why Navy and GTU use the double wing because it's something that most teams never see. Most teams now days use the spread and practice against it day in day out. Throw somethings into the Offense that they don't see everyday. Change up somethings!! A&T will win this game but it will be another nail bitter for us.

T. Warren has been back since homecoming but has not caught a pass. Actually the QB has not even thrown a pass his way since he returned to the lineup, go figure !! He also has not been used on special teams . Also, D. Drake RB is still out with a concussion. I don't know if he will be back this week or not. We could sure use him. He was playing very well before the concussion.

Kind of strange. Either he is less than 100% an not getting open or just not on same page with QB.
Hopefully that changes the passing game for us goes well when a second receiver has a productive game (someone other than Miles).

guys, we've got to remember that we don't pass the ball as much as other meac teams do. we don't see pizzo calling for kindle to put the ball in the air 40 times or more like nsu, dsu, famu, or some of the other teams. and i think that's because we probably have the best running attack in the meac. plus, i'm sure the coaches want the clock to keep running so that we can shorten our games because we lack depth.
so it doesn't surprise me that some of our receivers aren't getting a lot of touches, we don't throw the ball that much. plus, we don't know how healthy warren is or whether he's in football shape after having to sit out so long. when you sit out that long, you don't instantly return 100% in football condition. with a high ankle sprain, i'm sure he hasn't been able to do too many hard cuts or sudden stops during his rehab.
so i think we have to give warren time to get his legs back. ya can't turn tip top conditioning on and off like a light switch. it takes time for a rehabbing football player to rebuild his fitness level after he has recuperated, especially if you've sat out as long as warren has...

agree oleschoolaggie : A high ankle sprain TAKES TIME. It is hard on a receiver to have that type of injury. If Warren plays fine If not fine we have came this far with out him. It would be best that he gets himself at 90/ 100% playing speed before he returns not just for the team but for his own health .

I have seen T. Warren practice for the last 2 weeks and he looks and runs like he did before the injury. They are throwing it to him during practice and he is doing just fine. Maybe things will change this week. He wants to be on special teams, I hope they give him a chance to do that this week.

bigboy, do you know if warren is making hard cuts at full speed? if he is, that's a sign that his ankle is close to 100% healthy. but that still doesn't mean he's back to being in tip top football shape. his fitness level will depend on how long his ankle has been 100% and how long he's been able to run conditioning drills at full speed. if he's running conditioning drills at less than full speed, it'll take longer to rebuild his fitness level.
i'm not sure how inactive he was while rehabbing his ankle, but we were told that he was initially on crutches for a while. if so, it'll take at least 2 weeks of conditioning drills "at full speed" to rebuild his stamina and fitness level to 100% if he was fairly inactive for at least 2 weeks. otherwise, he may get tired much quicker than before his injury and his lower body strength (leg strength) won't be full strength yet. the coaches may be bringing him along slowly until he's 100% fit before they throw him to the wolves on a full time basis. if he's not 100% fit before he goes at it full time, he'll be more prone to injury. and not just an aggravation of his ankle sprain but also other injuries as well...

T. Warren's dad and Torrion both say the he is fine physically, so I take them at their word. I'm no "Mr. B" ;D so I don't know for sure!! When ever he is back to 100% we could sure use him.
