yep, i'm just glad he's back out there because i'm sure broadway wouldn't put him back out there if he's not ready. like saabman said, we've been winning without him, so there's no reason to rush him back before he's ready. but it sounds like he's ready, so i think he'll just need a little more time to fully get his legs back...

T. Warren has been back since homecoming but has not caught a pass. Actually the QB has not even thrown a pass his way since he returned to the lineup, go figure !! He also has not been used on special teams . Also, D. Drake RB is still out with a concussion. I don't know if he will be back this week or not. We could sure use him. He was playing very well before the concussion. He will be back next week.

Any time you have bad weather conditions it always favors the team that has the best running game and is the most mentally tough. We'll find out today if that is A&T.
Personally, I like our chances in this contest more now than I did a couple of weeks ago.

Spartans face depth issue on defensive lineNORFOLK Playing time won't come as a surprise to sophomore Justin Myler, but the amount he'll be playing might. As Myler trudged off the practice field Tuesday, coach Pete Adrian had a few words with the defensive lineman, who has played sparingly in six games and has assisted on just two tackles. "We're going to need you to play on Saturday," Adrian said. "Yes sir," responded Myler, who transitioned from offensive to defensive lineman at the end of NSU's training camp. "Right from the start," Adrian said. Myler is the latest stop-gap on Norfolk State's defensive line - and an indication of how little depth there is on the NSU defensive front and how dangerous North Carolina A&T can be to the Spartans' MEAC championship hopes. The Aggies and Spartans are two of three teams in the conference with just one loss. "He's played a little bit, just always a little bit of mop-up," Adrian said. "He's got a motor now, but he's not quite sure what's going on. He's 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds. If they're trying to run, I'll say go in and fall down. He'll have to play some." Norfolk State's first eight games were against teams that used some variation of a spread offense. While most of the MEAC has jumped on board with college football's newest fad, Aggies coach Rod Broadway has bucked the trend. He prefers to run straight ahead and showcase Mike Mayhew, who is 5-foot-9 and 210 pounds and one of the conference's biggest feature backs. Mayhew averages 5.3 yards per carry and 112.9 yards per game, ranking him ninth in the country. He has 790 yards rushing - at least 200 more than any other player in the conference. He runs behind fullbacks and tight ends, rarities in spread formations. "He's a pretty nice little running back," linebacker Hasan Craig. "For the outside linebackers, we're actually going to see a tight end." Read more at hamptonroads.com/2011/10/spartans-face-depth-issue-defensive-line

Hopefully, we won't get too cute in tight goal line situations (from the opponents 5 yd. line or closer). I think it was a major blunder by OC Pizzo not to smash mouth it in last week from the 3 yd. line in overtime.
Even though Howard's defense geared up to stop the run and "make" Kindle beat them last week we have to find a way to push it in from the end zone when it is 2nd and goal from the 3 yd. line.
Also, "Funky B" has to be careful not to be "too conservative" and when it is 4th and 3 from the 50 yrd line with 18 seconds left in regulation and we are playing on the opponent's home field. We have to send a message to our team we are not playing for overtime by punting and instead try and pick up enough yardage to get in field goal range for the game winner, especially if we have 2 time outs left that can be used to stop the clock.
Let's find a way to get Ricky Lewis on the field for more plays. If he can get in rhythm, he will make it happen. He is good for 1 or 2 game changing plays per game. He is tyhe best athelete we have and he led his team to the state championship his junior and senior years in high school. Should he be the starting QB? But he can play multiple positions and do well at all of time!!! Beat dem Spartans.....GO AGGIES!!!!

If it's bad weather fumbles may determine the outcome.
