I was wondering what was wrong with our punter who shanked about 2-3 punts in the BC game. He did a good job at Morgan.
The other issue is Kindle early int in games but he sure enough make up for it with clutch 3rd down throws so I can't really complain.

Shidler is a little gun shy because he takes two steps instead of one and it makes him more susceptible to being blocked so he does the rugby style kick and misses it from time to time.
For Kindle its just his fifth game for Broadway. Its an experience thing. They just need to play through it just like the rest of this team.
Remember everyone picked on Terrence Webb real bad the first couple of games and now he 's one of the better corners in the MEAC after stepping up when the staff said you're it and they coached him up. Now he and Ferrell are solid on both sides.
Both will get better each week like this team will as long as they continue to work. With Broadway, I have trust in his judgement on how to handle and pick his players.
All the arm chair QBs we have on here need to take a chill pill for couple of weeks and just let the man do his job as the head coach.

Our punter is hit or miss .... literally. There is no telling when he will shank a 15 yarder.
However, I place most of the blame on our coaching staff for continuing to ask him to do things he clearly can not do -- like making a coffin corner kick from inside the opposing team's 35 yards line. We need to start going for it on fourth down when we have the ball near the other team's 35 because we usually just get the punk blocked or our kicker shanks it 10 yards.
Either go for it or just tell him to kick the ball straight in the endzone and have the opposing team start on the 20 ... but that it just a change of 15 yards of field position. Might as well go for it.

Thrilla did you see how Broadway got on him when he kick that 15 yard punt. He call him everything in book.

No real comment Thrilla but that's really looking deep for something to complain about. Small, Fobbs, and Lee are all gone. Too many years of being around bad coaching and finger pointing has really taken its toll.

We still have the love fest going on but there's nothing wrong with pointing out areas where we can improve.

Wasn't Shidler the kicker last year?

The placekicker, not the punter.

Shidler is not on the team anymore.

The punter is Skyler Thomas who did some FGs and kickoffs last year. Similar sounding names, easy enough to confuse the two.
Jose Garcia-Comacho has been the big story for us with his FGs at crucial times in the red zone in the last couple of games when things bogged down.

Shidler is not on the team anymore. Who's handling the punting duties now?

I will say this Skyler did make big punt out of the endzone early in the 3rd quarter when it was 12-3 .
Our band is going to cost us a play later on this year. Kindle a couple of time was having hard time calling the play while the band was playing loud.

I totally agree with the comment about the band, doing the Morgan game we couldn't hear what was happening because of the band. I understand the need to make noise for the home team, yet they need to know when it's appropriate to quite down. Thats a call for the director. He needs to exercise that call. And by the way I enjoy the band, just not when plays are being called.
