I totally agree with the comment about the band, doing the Morgan game we couldn't hear what was happening because of the band. I understand the need to make noise for the home team, yet they need to know when it's appropriate to quite down. Thats a call for the director. He needs to exercise that call. And by the way I enjoy the band, just not when plays are being called. All The band was two loud twice on Saturday, after someone came over from the football teams bench and talked with the band director, the band was not a problem after that...... also we had two false starts and the band was not playing at all,............... you must be talking about Morgan's band cause T's band was not at that game. But any way the band should not be a problem any more, i hope!

The band Director should have the Knowledge to know when to play and when not to play and if he is not knowledgeable some one should let him know that when we are on Offense it is hard for the players to hear when the band is playing.

This is a nic pick I can agree with because, Kindle's audibles could not be heard aty lest four times in the second half in the red zone but fortunatley he checked down to the running backs twice on third down and got the first downsneeded
But the Machine, as much as I love them, really need to turn off the volume when we are on offense, whether another band is there or not, doing the same thing across the field because BCU was just as gulity as we were.
If we were involved in a blowout I probably wouldn't care as much but this is a old SWAC habit we don't need to pick up.
I was flabbergasted that the refs didn't warn either band for excessive noise levels during play.

I'm sorry, it was the Coastal game. The band took almost the whole 3rd getting back in the stands, playing none stop. Quite a few people were complaining, and when they all did get back in the stands it continued.

I'm an old bandhead so I have little sympathy. At an FBS game the crowd noise is louder than our band plays. Those kids seem to find a way to get it done. But seriously. should the band lower the volume at the appropriate times?, yes of course. Hell, there are enough drum majors to have one of them just pay attention to the game. Another the key is for the football team to periodically practice with noise in the background when running or defending red zone plays. Now that there are more fans in the horseshoe, practice accordingly by playing crowd noise/band music over the PA. A lot of teams do it.

HUH??? Morgan band was too loud...well maybe I need to get my hearing checked but, I hear ya. Here's the deal...bands can play when its own team has the ball...now what they try to do is play then get quiet as possible at the snap of the ball then get back loud again. Of course, if a team tries to run a fast past style of offense (hurry up), it can throw the band off at times.
